How long do you sleep at night?

Great ideas flowing around here.

I always wondered about one thing:
How to break a cycle that's been so ingrained that you don't think naturally about breaking it. Basically, what environmental influence could be created that would interrupt the cycle.

Most of us know that we could do better, but we're just going through the same thing day after day, without really knowing how to drastically change it without any outside help. In my case for example, my rhythm is completely fucked up since I'm working independently. I never go to sleep before 4-5am, and I'm sleeping till midday, mostly because I'm working almost exclusively with US people, but I'm living in europe. Often tried to change it, without much success so far, even though it probably would be much healthier with a different cycle.

Depends on many things.. In the past 2,5 years I used to go to sleep very late, almost in the morning, sleeping only for a few hours and my days were almost always like hell.

Now I go to sleep early and I feel better, much better. But still, most of the time I get up caught sleeping more because it's so much cold out of my bed.

Apparently it's better to do stuff (work related or not) in the morning than in the late evening / night. As for sleep hours, for me it's usually 6 hours. I can't stay in bed I feel useless and gotta do stuff in the morning.

i've got the same problem until i started drinking beer. now i sleep less.
