How is this website ranking with VIRTUALLY NO LINKS??

This website is ranking incredibly well for keywords in its niche but I cannot figure out why?

Its a fairly competitive niche.

Ahrefs is showing less than 10 backlinks, none of which are keyword specific? All seem to be going to a PDF?

Can't see any 301's either?

i think i know what it is it is blogspot redirecting to domain name giving extra boost. They simply choosed to go from a blogspot free domain to a paid one.
 
Its definitely a great question. The few links that are pointing to the website seem to come from .org websites that are thin on content (or dont work), but have a pretty strong authority.

Most probably the person bought some high PR .org domains and pointed them to his website :) an old trick
 
Stop putting other people's websites on a black hat forum. We don't need the link to try figure it out.
 
I'm strongly agree with the theory about sape links. There is metric called TIC (analog of PR for yandex search engine) and this site has TIC of 30 (normally, most non-russians sites have TIC of 0, even BHW have TIC 30).
 
What is Shape links? I have hear and used alot of Black Hat tools but this one I'm not familiar with.
 
Sape is a link network from Russia with really cheap and sometimes effective network.
 
On a separate note, why the hell didn't Ahrefs pick up all the links that MOZ did? Ahrefs only got 6 backlinks, while MOZ got 500+! I thought Ahrefs and Majestic were undisputed in this area???!!

99% they are blocking other bots to index their site,except google with robots.txt or .htaccess but moz maybe didn't respect that or they forgot to block moz.

OP,take down the link,what if that was your site and you worked hard for it???
This forum is watched from google and every time someone puts a url in public for hard keywords,the next days is taken down.I am since 2009 here and i've seen this to happen 99% ,so please remove the link and work your ass to rank your own sites.
 
onpage seo and good quality sape links are ranking them..
 
OMFG I hate these "Hey how is this site ranking with no links?!?!?!" threads.

It's voodoo magic, so try another niche.

I mean seriously, how are you going to compete against someone using voodoo magic?

In all seriousness though, if you have to ask, the niche is too hard for you.
