Quick question. We have a bit more authority as the website ranking above us. We also have better optimized H tags. However the two things they are winning on is Code to text ratios and a much older site to the tune of 5-6 years. How important is site age in this, or is there something else I'm not seeing?

The short response to the question is true, domain age is a significant SEO factor for your Google positioning. Among the several weighting factors that Google considers in deciding how to rank internet searcher results is the age of your area — as it were, to what extent that space has been near.

* Domain age is a factor in deciding Google rankings, and a piece of our SEO.

* Sites are altogether downgraded for an initial couple of months after Google first finds them. It is incredibly testing to rank well for focused terms in those initial couple of months. Truth be told, some SEO experts essentially won't work with spic and span areas.

* According to Google's Matt Cutts, the contrast between an area that is a half year old and a year old is extremely little.

"difference between 6 months and a year is really not that much"

"So as long as you have been around for a couple a couple of months, a few months"

The Google sandbox as defined by Matt Cutts

My paraphrase. At 2 to 3 months you can really enter serps. By 6 months you will be fully unleashed if you don't get on Google's radar.

He also mentioned a couple times they Mark the first time they find a link to your website.

I was thinking of not building any links for the first few weeks on my next project.

This seems to make that decision more important but I'm not sure it helps me make it.

I've seen that video again but thanks for share
