How I increased my CTR with 10% with one small change

For those that prefer sitting in the beach, instead of messing with photoshop use www.dabuttonfactory.com

Nice Share, thanks Hekke.

Nice share, as we can see that you dont need fancy things to achieve success. Sometimes the less is more.
Are you doing A/B testing too? You said you increased the CTR, could you share what was the banner before, and it would help to understand, why this banner works for you if you shared the website on that you use this banner.

Thanks a lot Hekke for these info and Thanks Panther for mentioned the Website link here :)

interesting, kind of new to amazon, is there some simple way to actually link to best whatever of 2015? I'd like to link to specifically top selling xbox one games for a site i have. Is that something easily done?

I had no previous banner/sidebar image. I'd love if others added their experience with sidebars and share what have/haven't worked for them. I haven't really experimented with colors either but I use ones that stick out but still match the color scheme of my website.

You can easily get a quick-link to the best seller (or another one that you think is the best one) and add it to the click-through link in the plugin I suggested. It's just like linking to any other product really! :)

You seem to becoming better and better with Amazon, keep up the good work. Oh, an yeah, PS for just a button is an overkill, there are many websites that will allow you to do that in minutes.

In this case what you wrote is easy to missunderstand.

Nice sharing, Glad to know Amazon is alright with this way of adding pics in side bar, not sure as I am new in IM.
Is there any plugin that track your visitors on amazon. I mean if 10 people bounced to Amazon from my website how many of them are active and how many buy actually something. Is there any plugin that provide this kind of information.

scientifically, light blue make the human relax to what he sees and focus more, the opposite of orange, your CTR increasement makes sense :)

This is exactly what a Marketer should be doing, TESTING! Good job on the increase. Keep A/B testing.

Think some folks would do well to embrace the notion of developing at least some practical skills. Not speaking to you obviously lord1027 due to your awesomeness, but I followed OPs guide and used PS and completed my button in under a minute. If it takes someone longer than that or they can't follow the guide that was provided ... they need more help than a button website can provide.

Thanks for your efforts OP! Good stuff!

So you made a sidebar banner for amazon when amazon gives you dynamic, self updating side bar banners anyway. not sure why you don't just add a amazon 300x250 banner to your sidebar with the text widget. BTW you can add images to a sidebar without a plugin using the text widget, one less plugin being used. Just an after thought, you can use autoazon and add self updating popup sidebar banners that match your content without doing any hard work

The BIG reason I use pictures instead of Amazon ads is that Adblock does not block them! Another one is that I definitely out perform Amazon banners with a simple picture like the one Hekke has shown us.

I also like to make top banner ads with a simple screen capture of a row of best sellers from Amazon. Just make sure to edit out any prices.

Could you write the font and color for those who use CSS?
