It's possible to get 3.5 and even 20%+ click through rate on FB.

Here's how;

Manual Vs Optimized Bidding

Props where Props Due - Cheers Luke P.

Thanks for sharing. Really helpful information. It's quite so long have not doing FB ads. I will try this again later.

damn thats good, i have a really low ctr, but i don't target my ads, i pretty much leave them on full exposure, as i doubt anyone would click an ad that they were not interested in, on facebook especially. reperoonied up.

Thanks for sharing. The ctr is high because facebook "optimized" it by placing it towards the top of the page. Think about it. If an ad is "hidden" like at the bottom. Then it's ctr is low. But you are also bidding lower cpm. So getting high ctr does not mean it's most cost efficient, it just means more people click it given the same impression because you are paying higher price for that position. You need to test whether if you manual bid would be more cost effective.

Well actually if you target your demo just right and you have the "right" ad then by using optimized you can get $0.01 clicks.... just check out the link in the original OP.

Luke had 24% CTR..... regardless if he was bidding $1 CPM he was getting HELLA cheap clicks from the US. You would not be able to get cheap clicks like that with manual bidding.

Yep.... you should def. try to study your demographic more.... you must target (women...age...location...and at least 1 or 2 intr.)

Nice results! did this ad unit have a image? if so, what was it of? We all know the story of the GREY SHIRT GIRL on fb..

My campaign that got 3.5% CTR was of fb post promoting my youtube video I posted on the fan page.

Kinda surprised FB approved an ad run titled "sexy hot." They are usually quite the sticklers.

Thats some crazy CTR. Never had more then ~ 1.20% CTR my self lol :)

Try out Automatic Optimized Bidding.

You will see 2%+ CTR if your ad has a good image and you have targeted the demographic correctly.

Let us know how it goes :)

Yes man, will try that in a few niches and post results. It's just that I never thought that it could work but with a 2% CTR it is nice. The CPC will go down by a lot from that then.

Yeah, according to Luke from Peerfly its best to keep the budget low for like 1 week while it optimizes the campaign for you then up the daily budget if you are happy with the CTR and avg. CPC.

Luke is a complete douche, his blog is full of promo posts. Don't waste your time.
You can also see 7search blog post there, he says that its profitable, lol

Not a big fan of peerfly or Luke but that 7search post was one of my first profitable attempts at CPA. Didn't make much as 7search is limited but it make enough to buy GSA SER and C Breaker. Thanks Luke! It's all in the twist ;)

Nice one about videos. Witht those cpc stats you can get some hella cheap real views with likes and comments! No services needed... As long as your video don't suck eggs.
