Here is an example form my own dashboard when I claimed the 1 year free domain from them
As you can see it is still up 3 year later
Says I am in debt to them but I don't care since everything used was a burner lol
Edit:
Although It was mine for a year, now that domain is up for grabs and doesn't actually belong to me anymore despite it saying it does.(I just did a check now)
This is probably one of the scammy tactics we warn you of when you get free domains. Remember to never use real billing profiles & use burner infos on these offers..
For anything domain wise that is serious, pay for it.
