How has Scrapebox not been sued by Google???

Scrapebox is not a software that could possibly harm Google in my opinion.

in all actuality, you're committing the worlds lamest felony by using a tool like scrapebox to circumvent the defenses and terms of service that would normally prevent you from harvesting that data
according to the computer fraud and abuse act of (1996?)
and craigslist recently won a huge case against someone that was scraping their site after they banned him

Google is founded by former hackers, turned affiliate marketers, turned search engine developers, turned GODS.

Google's entire business model is based around scraping millions of websites then cataloging and publishing their information.

This takes up bandwidth on every site it scrapes. I don't know for sure, but I would wager that the collective bandwidth that Google spiders (scrapers) uses on all of the web servers around the world is astronomical. I don't see how Google could win a case trying to sue a company for having similar business practices as their own. They don't get to win just because they have more money or because they use a gentler term like "spidering" when what they're actually doing is scraping.

Believe it or not, Google does not own the interwebs.

If you do not want Google to spider your website just tell Google (robots.txt). In all fairness Google has no way to block Scrapebox if used correctly. I think they do not really care about a tool that might cause a couple gigs in bandwidth.

The word Google is a trademark. Yes, they own it. I can use it right now because this message is not for commercial purposes.

How can you even compare TweetAttacks and SB?
TA targets a single website(Twitter) EXCLUSIVELY while SB targets search engines (along with an assload of other shit) in general.
Furthermore TA focuses on actively spamming users while SB focuses on fetching content from a number of sources (thus not disturbing any users directly).

It's not like it hurts Google, it's just scraping information. I don't even think its illegal or anything but I'm no lawyer.
Yup. It does not compromise google functions or integrity ..compared to other spam tools for twitter or facebook.

Google hasn't even deindexed them.

Sometimes I don't understand the mouth breathers sitting their lives away in the google plex.

They will deindex some link networks, but leave others intact. They will deindex some agencies website, but leave scrapebox in the index.

Don't try to find logic in this, they just want to confuse you.

Google loves internet marketers, that's how they make their money.
