How e-mail submits work and why you get scrubbed

Cheers for the share, certainly interesting to hear a perspective from the other side of the fence.
Certainly explains a few unanswered questions I have had.

I just registered for Copeac affiliate program ..... still pending since i signed up today.

I just put my landing page in their as my site when i signed up. It not going to the main site I use, I just had to furnish a site. Is this going to poorly influence my acceptance for the program?

Good to meet you mkrongel, glad to see someone from the other side contributing to the forum. I always had a sneaking suspicion that this act of scrubbing was indeed a result of "middleman" biz practices. I appreciate the honesty and look forward to your insight.

Ive been trying to tell this to everyone that asks about email submits when they ask what network is best. There is no answer because most have already been scrubbed network wide to nothing and if you find a fresh one you will be scrubbed quickly

its not the network doing the scrubbing its the advertiser, the reason why one network seems like it scrubs less is because they have more quality traffic that allows your crap traffic to blend in to it

thats what i was trying to say it doesnt matter what network you run them on the advertiser has already scrubbed them

i think generally the time of email submits is over.
sure you can make good money with it but i think there are other methods to make the same or more money with less effort.

greets, darkstar

so are you guys saying PROMOTING CPA OFFERS is a bad idea and is time wasted???
Because i just got accepted into my first CPA network like 2 mins ago.......should i stick to clickbank , thats what im asking.

I don't think anyone said it is a bad idea. Think about it, if you are with 20 networks or even 5 you can sell almost anything online, because you have a supplier.

I think they are more saying that the time of getting a bunch of fake email submit offers to make big money is over. Which it is. I have drove over 500 people that I know most of them filled out the offer and I did not get paid for a lot of them.

With your CPA network you can promote diet, health, insurance, loans, credit reports. I highly highly suggest working out a method that uses a credit card submit free trial. I have always been paid on these type of offers.

Hope this helps.

Nice to see you making your coming out of the shadows announcement, its over the top to see you keep the theme of BHW in mind and serve it straight up.

Thanks, looking forward to hearing more from you. I have got some good use out of a few of your posts.

I wanted to introduce myself on the forum, I have lurked for some time but want to begin to contribute.

I see a lot of people complaining about email submit offers and their conversions going down as you ramp up the offer so i figured i would shed some light on these offers and help you guys decide if you want to continue running them.

email submits are the target of fraudsters on a daily basis. The bot programs that automatically fill out email submit offers and promise to make you money doing nothing. The big email submit guys are able to catch this, but they also protect themselves by adding a scrub to the traffic. So lets say network A has an email submit and you're running traffic to it, all of a sudden someone with bad traffic (a bot) gets on the same offer, the advertiser will see in real time that people from network A arent backing out anymore and will start scrubbing the pixel fires until the traffic becomes profitable for them again. So one main reason why you see the scrubbing kick in is due to the fraud that tries to abuse the offer. Another reason is that the email submit guys are desperate to report profits as some are public companies and they just scrub to fatten their bottom line

The biggest email submit advertisers are Value Click, Active Response Group and The useful, 90% of email submit offers for free ipods, electronics, food, department stores, etc.. come from one of these 3 advertisers. Each one of them has been hit with fines from various attorney generals about their business practices. These advertisers are under pressure to be profitable at all costs which adds to their need to scrub even more.

I caught one advertiser trying to scrub over 80% of the leads we actually generated in our network. We showed about 3K leads, they said they showed the same, then told us there was fraud and they wanted to scrub more but this time they sent their internal unscrubbed report which showed almost 17K leads (They messed up)

So in short, even if you have good traffic these offers are going to scrub the balls off your traffic at some point. The days of email submit offers working well are past us. If you are able to stay profitable on email submits i would suggest working with a network that has good traffic on these offers already, they are less likely to see massive scrubbing.

Check the email spam you get for these offers and trace the network back, if you see the same network over and over, chances are that network is being scrubbed the least and is probably your best bet for running email submits without being scrubbed to death.

Hope this helps someone.
Thanks that is an eye opener, keep sharing please

Finally someone actually understands scrubbing and first page offers.

I hate to say it, but most people on this forum are the ones causing the scrubbing. SSM and iFraming are the two biggest methods of fraud for email submits, and they both became popular right here. Now you know why I hate iFraming so much.

I'm sorry, but with my double digit IQ, I still can't figure this out yet. Can you elaborate more, OP?

When you fill out email submits, they make money by spamming you with other offers.

Enter your email, go to the spam link, find the contact or affiliate button which is usually small on the bottum. From there you can usually trace it back to a network.

Im sure many people working in CPAs come here to see methiods and be capable of blocking them. I just wonder why did You show up officialy.
Either way nice to see such person.

I am here to make sure no one tries anything on our network we dont allow, or our advertisers dont allow. People on this forum do white hat stuff too, i am just trying to keep a dialogue going.

@mkrongel - I have a question that keeps on coming up and I'm curious whether you know the answer to this. Every network has promotional methods that are allowed and not allowed. I'm curious as to why we're limited for example, on one offer to only promote products on, eg: social network, web, search, dls, etc?

Why can't we not choose the promotional method we want as affiliate you network/advertiser worry about whether they are converting or not?

I'm trying to understand the reason why we're limited in terms of promotional methods. If you can kindly enlighten me and the community please.

Thanks a lot. I have an account at COPEAC too btw.

I had been using affiliate.com

I have about 100 to 200 clicks daily on the email submit offer pays 1.5$ per 1st page email submit

But why none of them ever convert

The scenario is 1st page .. email submit
2nd page asks for personal details (name / address / zip etc )

WTF never ever even i got a single email submit converted :(

Any help why dont i get any leads and always the revenue shows 0 (zero)
