I've recently built and launched an app (spent almost $7.4K to get it developed)
Despite building an app that's better in terms of UI, content, etc than the apps that are on the top 20 lists. I'm unable to get it boosted. I've waited for almost 4-5 months, but I'm not getting any decent installs.
I've done the keyword research and based on it, I feel that there quite some 40-50K searches/month for the keyword I'm targeting.
I have some decent SEO knowledge, but ranking a website for a similar term would again take more than 5-6 months and there's again no assurance for the same.
What would be the right way to approach this? I'm from India, but the app is made for the US, so I don't have many people who can download that app or rate it. Also, I can't trust any install providing services, because I've heard that fake installs can give me the initial boost, but also puts me in a huge risk considering the potential this app has.
I've optimized the description, keywords, title, everything, and also am giving regular updates, yet the app isn't showing up when searched for the terms I've targeted. Is there something I should do differently? I don't really want to use the so-called ASO services to get downloads and stuff, it's because I can't trust anyone and their pricing for these fake installs seem to be quite expensive too.
I've thought of doing search campaigns, social media campaigns too (but it's a competitive niche and many ad networks don't easily show up relationship/dating apps) and the ones that do are pretty expensive.
Someone who has a good experience in ranking apps, I'd like to get a paid consultancy or maybe hire them, but I don't know! I really don't! Can anyone help?
