Hi guys,

For the last few days, I had been running crypto-related ads with cloak and got stuck. I would like to discuss with you the algorithm that Facebook uses to review ads and decide whether they are going to be approved or not.

First of all, I know that the issue is not a safe-page or money page, because I had been successfully passing auto-review with it (god bless JCI).

Secondly, I know that FB doesn't care about website URL or FB page linked (and any of those things). My guess is that they review the ad copy itself and see if it has crypto-related terms in it. More to say, I believe that they have a very limited set of languages they analyze because some successfully go through — Russian for instance.

I have a few questions:
  1. Is there a list of things FB reviews across an ad and landing page to determine if it's going to be approved?
  2. Does FB really analyze an ad copy? Is there a list of forbidden keywords?
I'm trying to figure out where I get caught since I can run ads in Russian but not in English. Please, share your experience or ask any related questions. Maybe together we can come up with some FAQ useful for the whole community.

Maybe you should try to use other words instead of the main crypto words.

2. From what I know there a forbidden keywords, correct me if I'm wrong here guys.

I am not a professional, but I would advise you to change you ad text with other keywords.

Definitely. The challenge is figuring those words out exactly.

Yeah they review almost everything and they wont hesitate to ban account in first review specially when you are using forbidden keywords.

Is there any place where I can read more about it? I have my guesses on that too, but it's all just a guess.

fb ads need to be as passive as possible.

To put it in simple terms make the ad read and appear as if you are selling a "rose bush plant"

The thing is that Facebook emphasizes a lot on the copy of the ads, the keywords that you use. Try figuring out some other words for the ad copy.

The copy, the landing page of your site are all monitorred by FB group. Also, some of images and video features are also in blacklist. Some local language will be more possible to get through reviewing.

Fb auto bot check first your keywords then go check your page if he detected any issue he will go to manual review
