Some days i feel like i gonna throw my life 360 around and be the best i can but other days i find myself stuck on the Internet browsing pointless things for hours and dont know why.

How do you stay motivated? How can you succeed in the whole i gonna change and keep the change going until i'm at the top mode?

Is it also the room / place you work in that makes the mood ?

You need a goal, if you're setting goals now and not achieving them its because you don't want to achieve it and you know that.

Stop being a lazy asshole, if you cannot make yourself work to improve your own life then we cannot help you.

Block all the websites you waste time on, find a goal and fucking work your bollocks off.

There is no secret formula to sitting on a computer and making shit happen.

Setup goals like Ste Hughes mentioned. I also make good lists for the whole week on what i shall do this week.

Whenever you find yourself not motivated. Try watching a business movie or something like that, examples:

    Wolf of wall street
    The Social Network
    Empire ( Series )

But most of all you just got to realize that actually having a job SUX even more :)

The best motivation is seeing "John Doe has sent you $x,xxx-$xx,xxx"

I also love seeing green arrows. :)

What I found out that worked for me was starting something and making a to-do list. Like writing it on paper hanging it up above my work desk and adding on it in the morning all the activities I Want to get done. This made me really productive and now I don't need it anymore!
So the thing is, you create a list and check the things you did and mark the things you didn't. That way you will get some kind of rewarding feeling when you see more checks than X's on your list, making you more motivated to continue working harder tomorrow. Also take some breaks.
You are feeling unmotivated? Just go eat, drink something you like and play a game or do something that gets your mind off work for at least 1h. Then get back to it.
We all have a limit, like batteries, some are like duracell batteries and can last for months without a recharge, while others have less energy and need a recharge more often. To avoid getting all your energy drained try to take some breaks more often. This doesn't mean for every 5 minutes of work you will do a 1 hour pause. It just means do work and when you stop, just go outside for 5 minutes relax your body and mind and get back to it.

By his own admission he spends too much time pissing about to be watching movies, stop enabling him

He needs to man the fuck up and stop being a pussy. Work.

When your father had you, if he was a good honest man you will remember him working long hours to provide for you. Providing for you was his goal and he didn't sit around and watch TV or look at cat gifs on reddit, he had to work.

This is gonna sound corny, but you have to reach deep down inside of yourself to get motivation. Find some inner source of energy that can power you (motivate) you in a way that others can't. I can't be specific, because this is all highly subjective and personal. Maybe you look up to your pops, and you want to please him, that could be an inner motivation, etc.etc. Also, keep in mind that you are fighting for your survival everyday, that also helps.

It may look and sound simple but it isnt. The thing is to set an early goal for the thing that you most desire and dont even think of taking a break or rest until you get the thing you want, if your problem is money , then there are millions of ways to get money but thats not the problem (i think). You are one of those people that may have a good life but you are still not motivated somehow, so set a goal (a good valid goal) and go get it boy.

Every day I visualise where I want to be and that gives me the motivation that I need. I always think about a line from Eric Thomas as well - when you look at an acorn, it is not really an acorn but an oaktree - to me that means that regardless of where you are on your journey you need to act like you have already made it.

watching motivational videos and inspirational quotes will only do so much. they are very short term typed motivation that don't even last genuinely long enough.

writing down goals is a good step, but it's not going to MOTIVATE you. plenty of times people write goals and don't follow through, or stop soon. visualizing is another great step, and in fact, can be paired up with writing goals and a vision, that you ENVISION to create even more pure motivation, but even then, when it comes to real unbreakable motivation, it is still flawed.

so how do you create a firm strong motivation?

a lot of people are scared of negativity.

what do you hear these days?

    "be positive"
"don't be negative, think good thoughts"

that's a load of bull fuking chit.

all that fairy fluff is the reason why people sit on their asses day after day getting nothing done.

"oh my i worked for 1 hour doing only 5% of what i wanted to do, but now im tired so im just going to play my PS4 all day long"

thats what happens when you are nothing but positive MAJORITY of the time ( i dont care if you are positive and accomplish chit, you are basically a statistical anomaly.)

    fear
    sadness
    rejection
    embarrassment
    resentment

that's how you create TRUE motivation. pure motivation that will DRIVE you into WHATEVER the fuk you want to become and be able to do.

be true to yourself, stop blocking your negative feelings.

    accept all your pain.

    embrace your dark side.

MickyFu keeps me motivated. He has been a massive help to me these last few months :)

I also imagine where I want to be and that helps me too. Imagine how different your life and your families lives will be when you succeed. Sometimes I sit there just thinking about the nice home, nice car, and not having to worry about money. I also think about the negative people people that have been in my life over the years who have said Im a day dreamer or that I wont ever make anything of myself... it will be nice to let them pour over my Facebook images in a few years time when Im living it up :D

Keep plodding on mate and think about all the reasons you got into IM for in the first place. There are tons of people on here who are living the dream and they still have time to share their fantastic advice with us new guys who are trying to make a living online. The beauty of it is its not an exclusive club, anyone can join in and make something of themselves :)

I just remember that if I don't do it, nobody else will get it done for me. Harsh reality of life.

Different things motivate different people at different times. But we all have a common motivator that's commonly overlooked.

Early on, money, just proving to myself I could make money online was all the motivation I needed. Money was the fire. The timbers were feeling like a financial failure for most my life. Knowing I'm smart, knowing how hard I'll work, knowing what I "got".... but knowing I wasn't making what I thought I "deserved".

Even after college I had this attitude of entitlement. Like "I got my degree now bitches, feed me money".

Then I had the harsh realization that's not how life works lol.

I got this fancy degree, all this new knowledge & confidence... yet I couldn't find a good job. Cause I didn't really specialize at anything (legal I should say lol). So I worked some min wage shit job while focusing on the "bigger" things in life. I couldn't help notice how certain dudes were moving up to high positions & making shitloads of money. People who were all form and no content. This told me that good form can take you real far in life. Even if you suck at most things. I also learned this in the PUA community. It doesn't matter what you say to a girl but how you say it. Form. Content is important in the long run. But I was amazed how quick and far people were getting on mere form.

So naturally, I focused more on my form. Around this time I found marketing forums. And I put on my Patrick Bateman mask.

I stopped asking for situations & started creating situations. Like with women at bars in college. Early on always played polite and asked for the #. Then this intuitive switch went off. I became a psychopath of the sorts. Cold, calculated, confident... I became the guy with form to demand numbers. I stopped focusing on the target and focused on who was making her decisions (usually friends). So I'd attack those networks. Seduce with evil, divide and conquer.

With marketing I noticed similar forces worked really well. I targeted vulnerable business owners, attacked their networks, friends, salesman.... got lucky and made lots of money.

But then I became really unhappy. And I lost tons of motivation. Wasn't sure why (you'll realize at the end).

Once I got money I realized that desire for money only begets more desire.... for more money. You realize either consciously or intuitively that capitalism is a game best played by psychopaths. This is why CEOs consistently test higher on the psychopathy scale than any other career. Even judges, lawyers, police and politicians.

Anyway, you have this money. Then you realize your main motivation and desire (money) is just an endless loop. Which can kill your motivation. The "answer" for me was to learn and grow through self discovery. To find people, things, books.... whatever resonated with me that I thought was important. Asking questions like "is it really that important to be happy in life?" "How often should I be happy?" Is happiness a form of selfishness? A false dream that institutional psychopathic capitalism has force fed to consumeristic society? That you shouldn't be as happy as me cause I have more toys? This may read like a black comedy. But these are natural laws governing the emotions of so many people that surround us.

To me, happiness is a ruse. It's not the primary drive of motivation. It's not something you chase. If you're on the persuit of happiness you'll either wind up on prozac or a mansion with a noose around your neck.

For animals, food, sex and not being eaten are the basic 3 motivators. So if you have food, sex, security.... if you're a lion.... you'll spend most your time playing in grass.

Where humans are REALLY TRULY unique, motivation wise, is our >>>morals.

Look at politics these days. Look how far all this politically correct shit has gone. It can seem annoying but you gotta wonder WHY it drives people so much? Look at daily life. Look at this forum. Look how motivated people get anytime a scammer is exposed. Look at what parents try so hard to instill in their children.

I'm going with my gut on this. But if you really wanna stay motivated in life.... focus on being a moral person. Discover your moral landscape. Make that landscape something you're willing to stand on. You'll notice the more you do this, the more you'll wanna stand for something. The more you'll wanna share your morals with others. The more those morals ripple out and bounceback on you. Which will in turn drive you more and more.

Morals are the fabric that shape nearly every decision you'll ever make. Whether you realize it or not. Morals are why we remember historical figures. Morals are more contagious than happiness, depression... any single human emotion I can think of. Cause morality isn't an emotion. It's the mold we pour our emotions into. It's what people will remember you for more than anything after you die. So what, if anything, can motivate you more than your own morals?

    -BB
