How do you start your own blog

just wandering if you can make money with your own blog and how,Is it easier to start a blog in wordpress or another platform

Wordpress is a great platform mate, I would start with that...have a read through some of the threads around here...your answers are closer than you think.

If you're looking for something "easy", then I recommend putting your computer off permanently right now.

Any form of blog will take hard work, dedication, blood, sweat, tears and love.

If you're not willing to put in the time, IM isn't for you.

Sure you can make money with own blog - write or post about what you like and people will come. The most difficult thing is persistence - most of "bloggers" fails because they write the first article, second one, third one, maybe 4th and 5th one, but then they'll give up, because in most cases the realise that no one cares and their traffic is zero.

To avoid this, try to find out something about you can write regularly - on daily/weekly/monthly basics. For me it was for example a summarization of articles I've read during the week. For my friend it was it financial report for the respective month (no hard to guess that these articles on his blog are the most favourite ones).

Regarding to the platforms - you can choose from Wordpress, Tumblr and Medium. Medium is new, beautiful, but it's more like a place to share your thoughts, it's not exactly a blogging platform in my opinion. So you should move your attention to Wordpress vs. Tumblr - here it is probably 50% - 50%.
Some people are for Tumblr, some for Wordpress.

I am for Wordpress because of a high level of customization, where you can change practically whatever you want the way you want.

Pretty much with any online blogging service. Wordpress and Blogger spring to mind quite readily. If you have a specific set of people in mind, Tumblr might (might) be your best bet. Whatever you choose, the content needs to be engaging for you to actually get any views. Once the views start piling in and you have a proper fanbase, it might be worth putting in some ad content or monetising some of your blog-related paraphernalia, i.e. merchandise or stuff like that. That last one might be a while off though, so to begin with advertising is probably your best bet.

Of course you can make money with your own blog but not everyone makes money with their blog. Hope that makes sense.

Considering the question you are asking do you really think you can scrape together enough material for a blog?

I find that wordpress is your best bet. You should have a general idea what your blog is about first though.

Yes, you can earn money from your blog. Word press is the best platform apart from others. Before posting like this questions, you should use search button.. There are number of threads started to discussing about this topic by BHW members!!

if you want it easy , then go with blogger.
