Hi guys,

I started an agency a month ago, and now, I am trying to create a blog where I can consistently create new and fresh content in my niche. However, I am having trouble coming up with the content.

Do you guys manually think of new content to write? Or do you guys find an existing blog (of the same niche like a competitor) and just reword their blog posts?

I am thinking about just rewording - is that bad?

I am curious to know what you guys think.

Analyzing competitors is a great start.

Staying on top of things and writing about latest trends is another.

You can also use tools like Ahrefs' Content Explorer to get new ideas.

look for trending topics using google tools.

Google translate.

Relating to your niche search some terms in English and translate to french or some other language. copy the given translation and do a google search with it. You'll be met with a bunch of results relating to your niche in whatever language you chose. Visit the webpages and click the translate to English thing on the right of your browser search bar. Forget what its called.

Free content!

Copy what you need stick it in plagiarism checkers to make sure no one else has used it and bingo.

Get the Ahrefs trial for a week and find good keywords there.

Free option - AnswerThePublic.com

I mainly start with keyword research in Ahrefs.

I start with main, broad keyword, and then go and filter them. If my niche was let's say tires, I'd start with tires, then go for all keyword ideas. If the site is new I'd set a volume to 1000 max and difficulty to 5. Topics just come rolling out themselves. Doing that you start to get a bigger picture and realize what's that people are searching for. The more you do it, the more you get familiar with the niche and content that should be done.

Another option is definitely going for competition and snatching some of their ideas.

Analyse competitive website and find keywords then write handwritten quality content based on those keywords, it is basics

Choose the keywords and Look into the top competitors to get the ideas, also research the topics with the different platforms, and then rewrite the articles with your own ideas.

You should always write unique content for your readers, and try with long tell keywords, this will help you to get ranking and also get some links to your blog posts from different sites, share them well, do Tier linking..

Rewording the existing content might sound smart but it will not be that effective... I suggest you go with new articles

You should keep an eye on your top competitors. What they write, how they write, when they write. Start finding the footprints of the same content on other websites. Watch them too. You'll get many content creation ideas and topics by doing this simple and quick thing.

I used to go keyword, answer the public and google trends.

I don't bother with that so much as the data is all over the place anyway. Granted tools above might give me some insight to new indirect terms I may not have thought of so I don't dismiss them totally. They have a place but it's not my go to anymore..

These days I just start in google

I start by typing something like Backpack

then ill go on a deep dive through "people also ask" and will inspect the "searches related to keyword (in this case, backpack)"

In the people also ask I expand 10-15 boxes before I finally go taking the subject to start googling what I go looking for is what information google or the blog / site is providing for that question. If I feel it does not answer it I will use that as a starting point for some content - if the answer is poor / not relevant normally it's fairly easy to rank as well..

So here for example expanding people ask there is a lot about backpacks and weight so I took this topic:

How do I know if my backpack is too heavy?

Google that and I found under related search

effects of carrying heavy backpacks

I googled the above and although there is a snippet it doesn't really give me the "effects" it focuses on causes. The same for the rest of the results so if I was going to write some content I would start with the

The effects of carrying heavy backpacks

id list out common "effects' and use that as my sole goal to go after the snippet and build up my content from there there are 5-10 other talking points around backpack weights I could work into that article as well without drifting away from the core subject that much.

It's a bit manual process but ill spend an hour or so a night looking for ideas finding weak answers and building up a spreadsheet of topics and keywords to start writing about.
