How do you guys deal with procrastination?

I would deal with my procrastination today, but you know, it's late, it's afternoon, it's summer, it's better to start tomorrow fresh :D

Jokes aside, read "the power of habits" by charles duhigg, you can even find the audiobook for free on some Telegram channels, it helped me a lot, it make you change your habits from shitty ones to productive ones.
Another thing that helped me is Boosted the app, program it so it tracks your working time, i realized that some days i would do 30 min of work and called it a day, now i can easily do hours and hours. It's basically the pomodoro method.

There is no easy way, especially if you get into a rut of doing nothing!

As for myself, there are a few things I do now which all help. I don't think there is one "quick fix" solution either - you have to be proactive in all parts!

1. Getting fit/healthy (Benefits my mood and gives me the energy to get on with things)
2. Making what I do a game (I think they calle it gamification). With any luck you want to see those figures improve as you want to get to the next level on a game.
3. Look at the money when it comes in. I withdrew my first £1000, partly so I could look at it and think "I earned this, how amazing let's go and get more").

That's about it really. Sometimes I think half of being good at the whole internet thing is mindset and not letting the small stuff get to you!

Maybe you are not hungry.

Hunger and desire are a cure for this.

I always used to say to people asking me for jobs in sales: I pay commission based so if you're good at sales you'll do well, if you're wanting a fixed basic and no encouragement to get out and sell- you are not for me.

Rent a coworking space. They are mostly not very cheap. You'd likely find some like minded folks working hard on their stuff, the thought of wasting your money if you don't do anything will gear you up also. You should find it somewhere not too close to your house. Best!

Lastly, you gon learn when you are left with no dollar. Do something fast!

you have to love what you do first !!

and of course you have to figure out and answer to the question " WHY " ... why u want to make a project ? what's your goals ? and How can you achieve it ....

Why ? to ....
What ? the project
Goals ? to build the project ... to make 10 $ first month ...etc
How ? if I do X things for Y days I will achieve my goals ... plan A ... plan B .... if plan A go failure I'll start plan B ...etc

all this questions can help you understand what you really want and how to build the project ...

and remember, if you don't have a CLEARLY PLAN, so just stop until you make a good plan.

if you love reading books, I recommend you this book:

By getting things done the moment you want to procrastinate

  • Buy an iron pipe for $5
  • Ask the person who benefits the most from your success to beat you up mercilessly with the pipe, whenever you procrastinate
  • ????
  • Success!!!
Seriously: Ask for help from the person who benefits the most from your success. It is clear from your year-long procrastination that it is very difficult for you to do it yourself.
