when testing a microsoft ads campaign, how do you decide whether search partner traffic is helping or hurting performance? do you compare conversion quality, cpa, bounce rate, and placement data before changing distribution settings, or do you separate the traffic from the start?

i usually check conversion quality and CPA first, then look at placement data before deciding if search partners are worth keeping.

hi i think you can try running a test and compare the results and check conversions or cost and traffic quality before deciding to keep or remove search partners.

I usually don’t separate it from the start. I let it collect some data first, then compare CPA and, more importantly, actual conversion quality. If partner traffic is bringing cheap conversions that don’t turn into real customers, the low CPA doesn’t mean much.

Yeah i usually test it first and compare cost and sales because if the traffic is not good just reduce it or turn it off.

I would run both for a while and compare the results and if search partners bring poor traffic then i will turn them off.

I'd usually keep search partners on initially and judge the data first. I'd compare CPA, conversion quality, bounce rate, and placement performance Against Microsoft Search. If partner traffic is consistently weaker, then I'd separate or exclude it rather than making the decision too early. And this is what seems good to me.

To be honest i test it first and compare CPA or conversion quality and then traffic quality before turning it disable.

I will surely compare the data first and check CPA or conversion quality or bounce rate and placements separately then decide if search partners are helping or hurting.

From my pov i will let it run first and compare cpa and conversion quality against search traffic and if the partner traffic is clearly worse then just separate or disable it asap.

I usually keep search partners on during the initial test and look at the quality of the conversions and if the traffic doesn’t convert well then just cut it.
