I usually check backlink quality by looking at relevance, referring domain authority, organic traffic, link placement, anchor text, and the site's overall history. Tools like Ahrefs, Semrush and Google Search Console are useful for audits, but the data should always be combined with manual review.

For me traffic and relevance matters more than only DA or DR. A real website with good audience can give better value.

Links should not be assessed solely based on their DR/DA score. Look at their relevance, actual traffic, indexing, anchor text, and whether the website has content or not.

I normally look at three things relevance, traffic and link placement. A good backlink should look natural, not forced.

I think most people are plugging their domains into Ahrefs or SEMrush to see how strong their link quality is, I've also seen people use Majestic as well but those first two seem to be the industry standard

for me assessing the relevance of a backlink is always first nd foremost before considering the metriics associated with it. a rellevant backlink coming from a reputable website from the same industry with engagement is sometimes more valuabble than a high metric backlink from another source alltogether.
