How do you create your landing pages for your offers?

Hi all,

I'm curious to know how all you media buyers create your landing pages for your offers (If you do use them).

I've read that landing pages created on HTML are best since they load quicker than a landing page created on wordpress or any other platform. I have very limited knowledge of HTML and I'm looking for other ways that I could create landing pages. I've thought of signing up to LeadPages and creating my landing pages on there, then exporting the LP's HTML to my server, but I'm not sure if this is a good idea. What do you guys think about this?

Or are there any other better ways for creating landing pages? How do you create yours?

Thanks for all help and reply's.

I currently have a landing page but I created that page on wordpress. I've noticed that the page load time is slow, even when hooked up to a CDN (cloudflare). But it is on shared host, would the page load be faster if it were on a VPS? I'm still doing lots of research on media buying and once I have enough info I will be investing in a VPS. Any recommendations for a VPS? Preferably one that allows adult content.

Thanks!

yes it will load quicker on a vps

Yea I figured it would. Do you think it would be a good idea to still have the website hooked up to a CDN even though it is on a VPS? Or would letting the page run on the VPS alone be good enough?

I currently have a landing page but I created that page on wordpress.......
Thanks!
no no no and NO! Do not create landing page in wordpress. Are you doing adult? Just steal some landing page. In chrome "save as" and you can save it. Wordpress is gonna crash your VPS and that's the last thing you want. You might as well throw money out of the window. Tell me for what country landing page need and i am gonna give it you. you'll pa me back when you become a millionaire.
In the meantime learn html and javascript. Not so much to create, but to read and tweak.

Consider changing your message depending on where your users come from - a different message might be appropriate for users who arrived at your landing page coming from Google vs. from Twitter or Facebook. Businesses with more landing pages (30+) generate 7x more leads than those with only a handful, so there's no denying their value. Ideally you want a tailored landing page for each ad group, but that's a pretty hefty operation, so start where you can. Try beginning with one custom landing page per campaign, and add from there for individual ad groups when resources allow.

There are several themes online that looks like simple landing pages and wordpress makes them easy to customize

I used to steal my landing pages from others.
This way you have something that it works already.
Then you work your way from there and you improve the lander you stole, make a better copy better headline better pictures
and whoever has the best stats is the winner(its what we call A/B test).
Basically you test landing pageA, against landing pageB and you try to find a winner, when you do,you test it against landing pageC,and so on.
Its a never ending process, always trying to optimise your landers.
If i were you,I`d do all my landers on html+js. Depends what your traffic is, a share host wont cut it, you need at least a vps.
You can however start with a share and when it starts become unproductive, you upgrade your plan immediately to a vps.
IF you have a budget to start with (other than your media buying budget) spend it on learning stuff around media buying,
and most important find someone with technical skills to create (code)the landers for you.
As soon as you come up with an angle, design it in photoshop then give it to your coder,
and explain him what you want, then you take it back and you fill in your aff. id's .

Yes, I'm focusing more on adult content/offers. I've thought of just ripping off other peoples landers but I'm not so sure how to do that. I know how to read HTML, not so much Javascript but I'm willing to learn. Thanks for offering a free landing page! I'll gladly take it! I promise I'll pay you back once I make my first mil. ;p

That is a lot of work for one person, (doable), but I'm just learning how to make one landing page at the moment. But that's really good info though. I'm gonna start like you said, one landing page per campaign. Thanks!

I've learned about A/B testing landing pages. I'll be doing lots of it once I have tested my first lander/s. I think I will be creating my landers on HTML instead of wordpress like most people suggested... I'll be investing in a VPS once I'm ready to make my first media buy. You say you used to steal LP's from others, can you give me some info on how to take other peoples landing pages?

Also, I posted a suggestion above but haven't received any feedback on, would be nice to get a bit of feedback on this. I was thinking of signing up to LeadPages.net and creating my landing pages there, then exporting the page's HTML code to my server. Do you guys think this is a good idea?

Thanks!
