How do you actually make money on linkedin?

I would look into offering services that businesses would be interested in. It seems that is the niche that seems to do really well on linkedin in terms of making money. It's all about finding what you want to offer, sticking to it, getting yourself known by interacting with groups and taking it from there.

Offering services that some businesses would show an interest in, is the way to go. You get a lot of businesses on Linkedin who are always looking for new services. Offer your services and interact and you should see some interest.

A informative Linkedin profile can be useful if you're applying for a job through Linkedin, as the employers might take a look at your profile. However, it's no big task and do not pay anyone to create your LinkedIn profile. They're just trying to make more money. It's like any other career profile, easy to do it yourself. I apply for lots of jobs on Linkedin because the quality of jobs available there is better than any other job board
 
Usually i have to ways:
1) simple pure networking....i'm mapping the people that i'm interested to offer my services..in my niche work about 1 over 500 (but is high returns) in another one that i built for one customer of me it's about 2%
2) i mine it and get even phone numbers so i can do even cold calls ;)
 
I am in linkedin for 3,5 yrs..
mostly i connected with professional and several job hunters in my connection..

still i have no idea ho to monetize in linkedin..
 
Sell LinkedIn endorsements and reviews :)
LinkedIn is b2b, make a nice service and promote it in groups and by direct communication.
 
linkedin is not only about b2b, there are many groups with different interests, you can use it to drive traffic
 
B2B service and software seem to be the best to pitch on linkedin. Any other ideas?
 
I get recruiters messaging me all the time with job offers. It's just about having a good profile and connecting.
 
Yes, agreed, LinkedIn is used fr lead generation purposes. I also use it for a friend and help him get job leads. It's pretty useful for when other job boards are not responsive.
 
posting in linked in beneficial way we can add groups and members who are related to our groups and we can reach very fast through this wen get leads,,,

You won't make "money" on LinkedIn per se, but you can definitely build valuable connections that can help your business make money. If you have something of value that other business owners can use in their business, then you can really take advantage of the LinkedIn platform.
