How Do We Kick Start Content Writing Services In BHW?

Hi, we are a group of 4 enthusiastic content writers who can deliver good quality content which is SEO optimised. We can write as per requirements on any content like SEO Blog posts, Product Description, Product Reviews, Press Release etc. We are open to general topics and we have a spread of engineers to homemakers in our writing team, so guess we can cover any topic under the sun!

The problem is we are new to BHW and I am not sure how do we start? I have been hunting down the Hire a freelancer Section but haven't got any real time paying content writing jobs there. We are ready to provide samples and rates for those who wish to take up our services.

Please let me know if

* I need to grade up to something more than a newbie to be posting on the marketplace?
* Do I need to pay? Well, we are just starting out here and I do not want to spend before I earn!

Any advice will be highly appreciated. If I have missed out some rule or anything, please let me know. I'm open to corrections.

Please do not advise to take up freelancer or Odesk or any other place including Fiverr - Been there, Done That!!!

Yes, you need to upgrade to Jr Vip and you need to pay to post in the marketplace as well as get approval from a MOD.

The market section is saturated with content writers. Here are my thoughts.

1) What is so unique about you're service that people would go past 100 other content providers here on BHW to choose yours?

2) If you're still determined to provide such a service, you'll need to first A) Become a Jr.VIP B) Create a thread in the right market section and post it. C) Pay to have your thread go live + give a free review a MOD for them to approve it.

3) Once you're thread is live, you'll also want to give free review copies to maybe 5 or so senior members seeing as they carry some influence around here.... in return for them to write a honest review in your thread... this will instantly get your thread to get activity and good feedback (which will help your sales).


Something else to consider, you could create a JV thread and partner up with a Jr. VIP and have them create the sales thread and you manage the sales/customer service/orders etc. while you kick him some passive income for risking his reputation for you.

Why not fiverr?

You should try harder on fiverr as I know first hand that you can make a lot from writing there if you do it right.

As for here, you have all the info now. I agree with IamNRE though, there is a lot of competition for writers on here now so you really have to differentiate yourselves if you want to make it.

Totally agree! I just went through the links. It does seem that we have to be in the forum and prove ourselves before we can give a shot in the marketplace. Not easy, but doable.

I will work on Fiverr, maybe my gig must be better!

For being a part of JV also must one be a JR VIP status?

No, you should be able to create a JV thread even if you're not a Jr. VIP. But you probably want to word it so only Jr.VIPs contact you if you want to run a sales thread.


Post your thread and a MOD will review it and either approve it or not (in the JV section).

To operate a JV here you also need to be a member for 30 days and have 50 posts so you are going to have to wait on that for a bit.

Hang around, you come across like a decent person with a head on your shoulders and your time will come to generate some revenue.
