You can think of this as a long-term and create a future-proof blog that doesnot need migration in the future .
So instead of going with blogger or wordpress.com (which have monthly subscriptions , restrictions )
My recommendation is to go with self-hosted wordpress website , it will be cheaper (no monthly subscription) , flexible and no restrictions .
If you have investment , you can hire a wordpress developer to create a basic website for you
or you can create the website yourself (lots of tutorials available on youtube)

You do need hosting and a domain name. After that you can post content, and when your blog grows from 50 blog posts, you should use internal linking. That means you have a link in 1 page directing to another of your blog. Finally when you do all of these it's time to start acquiring backlinks like guest posts or niche edits. Oh and don't forget to update your content at least once per week in order to stay relevant. Google likes that.

is blogspot still reliable? What if the longterm I getting traffic in blogspot and want to migrate to self hosted wordpress, will it hurt my blog?
I suggest you to choose a specific niche first which you actually love. Secondly buy a domain and build your webite then publish some post on trending topics. I also think, design is not the isssue in the begining you should focus on being consistent and try to learn seo a bit.

Totally doable with a simple setup. I started in a tiny niche, grabbed a cheap domain/hosting, slapped WordPress on, and posted every week. Don’t overthink the launch—just publish decent stuff and learn as you go. If you can, sketch out 10 post ideas before you start; it keeps you from staring at a blank screen.

Based on my practical experience and accumulated knowledge, i advise you to choose a clear niche, understand your audience and then build a foundation (WordPress or similar). Write 10-15 in-depth foundational articles before thinking about traffic. Truly useful content is the long-term foundation.
