Buy a domain and hosting and start posting content there. Also , keep doing seo for the blog. You can expect consistent income after one year.

I'd start with checking some youtube videos on how to setup self hosted WordPress and customizing a theme to your liking. Don't just click their links and buy whatever hosting service pay them the most, do your own research and stick with a cheap but reputable host for now. Also, don't pay for Themes and plugins in the beginning, it does nothing to help with ranking, keep it simple.
Pick a niche before you buy a domain. Analyze your top competitors thoroughly, what are they doing that makes them successful? What kind of content, whats their on-page SEO like? Most probably they have a clear internal linking structure and good quality content, but they may also actively promote their site in social media.
The core is the same but every niche is different, that's why you need to see whats working currently and in the long-term in your chosen field.

I feel that , choosing a simple platform like WordPress or Blogger makes things less overwhelming . For SEO , I would just focus on clear titles and writing naturally at the beginning.
