Hey guys,

I have an engineering blog. The traffic is very jumpy. Depends on the article.
A few days days ago I set up an Amazon affiliate program account and added a few books into
the right column of the web site. Two days ago I had 30,000 PVs. Amazon stats: 104 clicks, 0 sells.

Yesterday I removed Amazon books and replaced them with Google Adsense.
22,000 PVs. 5,000 AdSense Impressions. Just 7 clicks. Earned 4,29$. :-/

I do not want to place tons of ads around the website.
I'm crushed. Are there any better ways to monetize my programming blog?

cam girls? jk ha. how about building a email list. alot of things you could try to sell them after that.

Just started building it. I only 15 subscribers.

From where is your traffic coming from? Doesn't look like quality traffic to me.
And only 15 subscriber and you have average of 20k page views per day, its your traffic or something is seriously wrong with your blog.

I can help you but it depends upon many things. "If" you can pm me your site url and traffic sources (if google then main keywords).

I'd just go for Adsense, let remarketing do its job

So, is it programming or engineering blog?
It depends on your content. If you are reviewing a product, go with Amazon, ClickBank or Commission Junction.
If you are offering a solution, try to insert some product of yours.
If your content is so unique, nowhere to find and there is no other way to monetize it, go with survey lockers.
Jvzoo gives a good commission as well.
Hope that helps.

Keep going with Adsense and add other options that don't litter your site with ads. E.g. sponsored content (appropriately marked of course), if you don't have any inquiries, or want more, platforms such as seedingup work where advertisers look for that sort of stuff.

The traffic is all US. Content is unique. The blog contains articles about science, information security, functional programming, mobile development and so on.
15 subscribers is just because I added the form a few days ago.
