How Do I Get a IG Business Account?

Recently I've seen big and medium-small accounts with the contact button on their profile.

I assume they have a business account. I read online that Instagram is testing this feature out but I could not find any more information on the web regarding this topic.

Does anybody know how to get the 'Contact' button on your IG profile? If it requires a business account, how would I go about applying for one?

I don't think they have opened for everyone just yet, but they are soon launching it for everyone in the United States and Australia if I remember correctly. I believe they are launching it for the whole globe within the end of 2016

I read somewhere that you do have to be a "business". You can't just be an account that posts pictures.
 
I just read that it may help to connect Instagram to your Facebook business page, and select it's timeline sharing option and that it may allow the covert to business option. Also I've read many people updated their Instagram app and found the convert feature in the setting section.

Does anybody have more insight to this?:)
 
I'm interested in figuring this out as well.

There might be a couple of ways to make money off of this.
 
I just tried switching to my American Apple account (from Canadian) and changed my phone's region to U.S and uninstalled app, restarted, and re-installed. I also re-linked my Facebook and Twitter accounts. Still no option to switch to business. :(

Anybody else have any luck?

What you did it's quite useless. Try to set your fb page as a US business.

Ok.

I added a physical location to my Facebook address. I found a real address is Los Angeles. I updated my personal Facebook address to Los Angeles as well. I changed my languages on both Instagram and Facebook to English (US) instead of English (Canada).

Then I removed Instagram & Instagram Feed from the list of authorized apps in Facebook. Uninstalled Instagram, restarted my phone and re-installed Instagram. I re-linked my Facebook and Twitter (just in case) profiles to Instagram.

Made sure there are no App Store updates. Currently running Instagram version 8.4

Any more suggestions?
 
Btw, there is no general option to make your Facebook Business Page U.S. or any specific country. The only options are physical locations and languages.
 
Honestly, I don't think there's much you can do to force it. You get it when you get it, so it seems
 
Just connected my instagram account to facebook and it became a business account. It has the call button and shows "Small Business" in a different color on our page. Also shows a contact button.

Account is fairly new, 1 week old with 1500 followers, 8 posts. Not sure if its age or anything..
