How Can I tell if a niche is profitable?

Focus on providing quality content which can make the audience can stay on your page, focus on the keyword and make sure to have your site user friendly that helps your site
There might not be more competitors.

Hi. In my opinion, we can't just say how a niche is profitable blindly. We need to analyse the audience and their habits, the competition and demand for a particular niche and the keyword used by the people.

CPC should be decently high compared to the average of the countries.

Moreover, try checking what sort of landing pages being run on that keywords (Adword) is also a good indication.

keyword planner says the competition of ads is high for lots of keywords on the niche and top bid doesn't go over 1usd
 
It's a good sign that Amazon ranks, showing transaction potential, but competing requires strong on-page SEO, niche focus, quality content, and a smart strategy due to the challenge of established giants.
 
Long tail keywords will do the trick. But it depends on the keywords you want to rank for.

I get confused sometimes when people talk about targeting long tail keywords,
I kinda understand when it comes to short keywords, but how am I gonna optimize a page for a LTK of 5 or 6 words ?
is putting it in title and URL enough or i need to repeat it multiple times in article ?
can you clarify pls ?

It is a good sign according to me, if you use micro niches and low competition keywords then you can rank your site.

As far as I know, putting it in the URL no longer has an effect on performance. I could be wrong on that though!
