How Can I Make More Money on YouTube?

Hello good people of BHW,

I run a YouTube channel with over 100,000 subscribers and nearly 60 million total views. In the past, I made good money with YouTube, as YouTube's monetization used to pay very well. My videos are still getting a good amount of views, however recently I haven't been making nearly as much from ads. What was once as high as $17,000 a month has now been reduced to around $1,000 per month. This is due to a variety of reasons. For one, there was an ad boycott where advertisers pulled there ads due to being afraid of them appearing on controversial content. Secondly, YouTube is becoming more strict about the videos you can monetize to keep the advertisers happy.

I still get a great amount of traffic from YouTube, and my channel is in the paranormal / mysterious niche. I started a Patreon but it has so far been insignificant. I obviously need to find new ways to make money on YouTube, as the traffic is there, but the dollars are not. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas in terms of diversifying revenue streams on YouTube? Should I reach out to brands to make custom advertisements on my channel. The struggle with that is that I don't know of many brands that want to advertise on my channel's niche. If you have any ideas about how I can make more money with my YouTube channel, I would greatly appreciate it.

Movie trailers seem to be a good niche on youtube. If you can reach out to movie companies to get their permission,that would be nice.

You can probably apply to a network like Fullscreen, I'm sure they help you with gaining advertisers but they will take a cut if your revenue.

Affiliate is good with youtube. But read youtube's terms and conditions properly. Now youtube is also helping affiliate, see your channels page.

Promote CPA offers or amazon products.

Yeah I know, and I'm still getting a ton of views, but little comparative ad revenue.

Thanks for the idea, but I'm not interested in joining any networks if possible.

Well you can clench your teeth and endure this adpocalypse period, or build ten other channels to make up the gap in revenue, I don't see how paranormal niche can translate to an actual product after all.

try promoting related cb products, there is a lot of products there targeting these people

You could promote some CPA, Affiliate Marketing with the affiliate links is written down on the description.

Create a website and drive your viewers to your website monetized with Adsense or other ad network. You can add links to your website in your descriptions and/or videos.

Now you have two ways of making money

I have like 1 video and I earn $150 a month, Perhaps you could upload your new videos to the UK instead of the US and get a few more views from that country that may have other ads and also capture subscribers/views from another countries. You could try australia and canada as well.
A good idea would be to add japanese subs and create another channel with titles and descriptions also in japanese. You could hire one translator and make tons of money with a japanese monetiezed channel. Ads are good there. You could also research other countries that pay more in revenue and do the same in other languages and channels. This could multiply your income without having to create new content .

The advantage that you have which is extremely beneficial to the next piece of advice I can suggest is the fact you have a culture and audience to leverage off of. One of the first questions I would ask is what is your current audience main problem or burning desire? In other words...what gold medals are they chasing after every day? or what German shepherds are they running from? What are there pains and desires because, with that information I would take the seven minutes do to some key word research and find relevant affiliate products to those niches/sub niches....I would then maintain a consistent blog that provides precision language n top of content for the market you're seeking results with. Ease peasy, and I would layer all of that with audio podcasts, daily blog posts, face fan page value value value... all relevent to these pains and desire...this way way youre deveoping authority, credibility and celebrity (which you seemingly already have) with these products from whichever affiliate network... and they are more likely to buy. This is the best suggestion I can give you because it is so easy to expand this and keep scaling up in so many different ways imaginable. Easy passive income that will more than triple the 17,000 dollars a month that you used to get so long as you focus on doing so. Childs play!
