How are you using and or monetizing Clawdbot / Moltbot / Openclaw

I’ve spent most of today getting mine set up properly — locked down, secure, and actually usable. I’m genuinely excited to learn more about it. It really feels like one of our first small tastes of something close to "AGI".


That said, I’ve also seen the endless Instagram reels selling pipe dreams around it, and yeah… most of that is obvious BS. Still, there has to be real, practical value here beyond the hype.


I’m curious how you’re actually using it in your day to day work or life. And even more so, are any of you monetizing it?


I’ve had a ton of ideas bouncing around, from AI content TikTok Shop to SEO & website building. Would love to hear what’s working for you, what isn’t, and what you’ve learned so far.

You really said exactly what I was thinking. I’m excited to see how people use it and turn it into something profitable. Some interesting times ahead for sure.
 
I wouldn't use it. I prefer to be... The Controller! lol (trust a clanker on my pc? Fecking no chance lol)
 
It's a total spyware and security nightmare.

You give away your freedom to that malicious bot.

Think about how to use it in real life—how to make workflows better, do research faster, test ideas rapidly, and validate concepts. Then think about how to make money off of it. Real value usually comes from being more productive and addressing problems, not making money fast.

Start small if you want to make money. Choose one concept, test it out, see how it works, and improve it. People that embrace it as a tool to improve their talents instead of a way to avoid work are the ones who experience real improvements.
 
It has great potential to automate advertising and SEO i thought, that the way im actually thinking to use it will update you once done !
 
It remind me of jarvee (the first AI writer even before chatgpt) when they started

I believe you're talking about Jasper. It launched as conversion.ai, then changed to Jarvis (Not Jarvee) and now Jasper.

They were by no means the first AI writer. Also, they always used OpenAI under the hood.

They launched in 2021, almost a year after GPT 3 was released. And a lot of us were already bypassing Jarvis and connecting straight to the API :)

Jarvee was an Instagram scheduler/automation tool.

Yes that's right, it was conversion .ai but maybe you heard about it late but it was lunched way before chatgpt
it was in 2020 and chatgpt started in 2022

edit: you talk about open ai not chatgpt
I didn't notice open ai untill they lunched chatgpt

ChatGPT is just a wrapper product for OpenAI's offerings.

GPT 1 came in 2018

GPT 2 came in 2019

GPT 3 came in 2020 (This is the one Jasper was build up on)

GPT 3 was what conversion.ai was built on and it launched in late 2020/early 2021
 
Bumping this thread since openAI acquired OpenClaw. I have OpenClaw setup on one of those 'one click' vps from the main providers.

Costs a bit more but setup hassle was seamless + not my machine in a sense so any specific and obscure vulnerabilities aren't exactly that dangerous.

I use it with Opus 4.6 but tbh I fall into the category of I have the solution (OpenClaw) to no problem (no use for it). Claude is cool for brainstorming so I think I will stick to that.

Anyways I have a month of this VPS to find a problem for this thing to try solve lol

From my perspective, people who are doing stuff with Openclaw / claude were already doing stuff. Just a bit slower, I mean if you know what you are doing and know what you want to do then these tools will do it faster and probably better.

The biggest risk also i've seen on openclaw was prompt injection via clawhub which was malicious attacks but opus 4,5/6 does a pretty good job at detecting that if you use anthropic model

Some folks are talking about building integrations or ‘skills’ and even marketplace-style addons for productivity or niche automation

This to me feels like notion templates, tiktok car aesthetics starter packs, etc. Of course, there are exceptions and skills that are incredibly useful and work well but there is also thousands of slop and malicious files and prompts.

Using a vps is on bandaid to this problem, more technical people will know a lot more.

For making money ideas just scroll X for like 15 mins and you'll get many. Local SEO, Trading Bots, Content Arbitrage, blah blah blah but there are some nuggets along the way if you look hard enough.

Or setup an agent on openclaw to go look for you

THAT is a spyware my man. I would avoid using it since it can infect your pc/steal your card credentials etc.
 
I use AI mostly for research automation and draft generation - saves me hours daily. The monetization sweet spot seems to be solving specific niche problems rather than generic content creation. Your SEO ideas are solid, just focus on unique angles to cut through all the noise out there.

Yep...security nightmare. Personally I would create my own agents with Google's new AntiGravity. I've been using it over the last week and it's crazy how powerful this piece of kit is.
 
used it to make kindle kdps - but i switched over to vs code(x) + own custom author brief app again. much faster. more deterministic. less chatting.
