From what I’m seeing, the niche sites surviving recent Google updates are usually the ones building real topical authority, strong user signals, branded traffic, and diversified traffic sources instead of relying only on SEO. A lot of thin affiliate-style sites and mass AI content sites seem to be struggling much more now.
It also feels like Google is rewarding sites that show actual experience, useful information, community signals, and consistent updates. The sites still growing long term are usually treated more like real brands/businesses rather than just “SEO projects.”
