I don't know if I would have outranked him just with forum links, as I never tested that.
But, he was outranking all of us with pretty much forum links. Those forum links were not ordinary garbage which he was using, those were very powerful and niche relevant.
Yes, majority of the links were no follow, but he had some very juicy do follow links in the mix too.

Some of the crowdo link providers I've tried are using tactics similar to this, though most seem to be doing the edits within 24/48 hours. It's nice that you had a competitor to already do the work of finding those exploitable forums

High Authority Niche relevant forums are always good for the backlink profile.

So true, and I mostly play in tough niches like weight loss, health etc. So keeping an eye on competitors becomes even more important.
I discovered so many link sources just by analyzing back link profiles of my competitors In different niches.

competitor link building is always very helpful.

now you know all data of that niche, and method, and also have good amount of money,
dont leave that niche and build more sites.
PBN is a waste of time. This is 2022. You will likely lose ranking with PBN. Backlinks on sites that gets traffic is the best.

@nahid133 - He gave a wise advice, there is nothing better than having your own PBN Network.
@Speed23 - In this same 2022, I have multiple sites ranking on page 1 using PBN, so you saying PBN doesn't work is not correct.
In big boy niches, there is no chance of ranking except having your own PBN, competitors would eat you alive in those tough niches.

Whoever give this statement "PBN is a waste of time" I don't argue with them, it's waste of energy.
