Hosting Services

Can anyone recommend a decent hosting site that does not just "suck". I understand this is a bit of a generalization. Being a noob I tried two or three hosting sites trying to find a decent one and I keep drawing up duds. I have people at work offering their thoughts left and right and I keep hitting the "duds". I figured if there would be any place to ask about decent hosting it would be on this site, since you guys seem to know pretty much everything.

I was looking for decent shared hosting, to run multiple WP accounts off of. Basically take some of the knowledge I have gathered here and apply it. Is there perhaps a thread where this has already been done ? I was using the search feature though it seems my query is too general and there were a sea of answers. As always any help is appreciated.

Never had problems with hostgator. If you are looking for something cheaper, you can try Host1Plus, which I also use and never had problems with them too.

I use Crocweb. fast servers. Search on internet "1dollar croc" and you will get 1$/month hosting

I use bullten.com to host my website. They offer backup service too at no extra cost and I have been using them from 3 months with no error.

If you need a real server, use liquidweb. They have the best service by far, especially for non-technical people. I have called them randomly at 3am, and sure enough, an english speaking US citizen picks up every time to politely answer any question I can think of.
