Hi

I have a hosting a/c with WGOhosting. Recently my a/c got suspended because their datacenter flagged spam notification for my site. I have few simple autoblogs.
Please help me understand how such spam notification can occur from a simple site when I am trying to send it. I have added pluggins to avoid spam and firewall too.

They are now asking a fee of 25$ to reactivate my a/c, which I do not want to invest as it may occur again/ Are there any better hosting a/c which can help avoid such issues ?

Sounds like you might be being extorted -- WTF do they want $25 for?

If you're just running autoblogs then the only thing I can see is high resource usage (which could suspend your account temporarily, as per the agreement if they have one that explicitly states that). Are you sending out emails or pingbacks or anything to external properties from the site? Generally to be classified as spam you've got to be sending something somewhere. There's no spam in an echo chamber!

Frankly I have no idea as I am hardly updating those sites. Therefore, I am not sending any spam anywhere.
The message I received is as below -

"Hello,

Your account received two flagged spam notifications from the datacenter yesterday and we were required to suspend your hosting account. Please note that because this is the second spam notification we've received on your account there will be a $25 reactivation fee posted to your account. "

Is it possible someone else is doing it ?

Wow, that would be quite unbelievable for regular autoblogs (just the suspension and not mentionning the $25) are you sure your website weren't hacked?

I guess it's possible your account has been compromised and that someone is sending spam using your account.

First Ask Them For Backup And Staw Away From Them , Itz Better To Use Hostgator Insted Of Them.

Cheers,
Nik

jeez, they deactivate you just because of a single complain? and then they require you $25 just to hit a button? If i were you i would immediately move out of there and never come back

if u have a backup use it and cancel that hosting service and buy other

Request a backup and GTFO thats insane, if they refuse to give you a backup report them to the BBB, and the attorney general for their state, then they will gladly provide a backup to get those cases closed

Thank you guys for all your suggestions. I would surely chose another hosting. But can someone let me know how to avoid such a/c hacks.
Can't keep moving my a/c from one host to another if such thing is frequent.

Why i see a lot of people talking about hosting suspended today .. ??
