So I recently purchased the HG Baby plan and my account worked for like 5 minutes. Then I get an e-mail from them saying that I need to call them or send them a photo ID, (which I do not have.)

Also, when I was signing up for the hosting, I input one of my parents names because I'm under 18. So if I call them, they're going to know for sure that I'm not who I say I am.

What should I do?

Also, are they the only hosting company that does phone verification? Cause I've been with a couple of others and this has never happened.

Find another company. There's plenty of hosting providers out there that don't require verification. Any reason in particular you want to go with Hostgator?
 
call them, i get these all the time.. all they will ask for is the name you signed up under, and what domain, and method of payment. thats it.
 
Yeah, I would call them, but I did not sign up under my name because I'm under 18.

Do you think that could lead them to believe its fraud?

Or should I just say I signed up under my parents name?

Its not really a problem, you only need to verify your information. All you have to do is say yes to feww questions and thats all. I even told them that I registered under fake name and they let me keep it.
 
just call them, verify your cc details and that's that :)

It was no biggie, I was waaaayyy too paranoid. lmao
