Hostgator discuss. Good or Bad?

How are the reviews for hostgator VPS? I saw alot of good reviews on it. However I am not sure if its also because they have a good afflilate program so ppl are more likely to talk good about it. Tell me if Hostgator is really good or bad?

What will you be hosting?

I use their Reseller hosting to host local small businesses. I offer them free services up front, in exchange for them using me as their primary web host. Am I the cheapest solution? No, absolutely not.

I have never had an issue with down time.
They respond well to tickets.
They respond to live chat.
They speak English.
They provide you with resources to help figure shit out.

Are you doing something that is "grey hat"? Don't use them.
Are you hosting autoblogs? Don't use them. They will drop your site in a heart beat for DMCA violations.

how about GoDaddy hosting? can we talk abt that as well?
