Hi All,
Im planning on starting an amazon site. I want to ask you guys;

- While chosing keywords for Amazon site should we go for higher product price or higher search volume.

- What should be ideal product price range ?

- As a newb should we go for higher prices or its a no go? is $5000 too high ?

Dont go with products with high prices, big giants like cnet , top reviews are ranking for them and its almost impossible to out rank them. Go with products with mid range products with good searches, Competition matters a lot when its about amazon affiliate sites.

Hi thanks for the reposne. So what price will be considered higher price. is $5000 high or not and what if it has keyword difficulty below 30 should I go for it ?

Below 30 is fine, but then look at long tails too which are the buyer intent keywords that yield the low hanging fruit.

This and also, highly priced products will not convert. $100-$200 is a golden range for conversions.

Below 30 difficulty using which tool? With Ahrefs 30 looks high.

I tend to stick with products $100+ but this is flexible depending on commission rate and search volume.

Make sure your keywords that you are targeting are buyer intent (X reviews, best x etc.) Go for low hanging fruit. This will boost your traffic and get you earning. You'll soon find that those 50 Monthly Searches articles and commission/traffic is soon adding up. This content will also increase your word count and site authority helping push your harder competition keywords.

Those are buyer keywords but the price range is higher.

There's nothing wrong with high price items but conversion will be lower if product price is really high. Also you'll likely need to write longer and higher quality articles to build trust to help conversion rates.
