just drill down and be specific.
fashion > male > footwear

now check footwear hashtags relevant to men and see if its popular.

repeat.

Just pick a subject you naturally like/follow/are good at/know more than the average joe and pin down the most cancerous (read: the most popular).

Keep competitiveness and differenciation in ming though.
