Hey all,
Im a recent startup founder, I've just started building the waitlist for my startup in January and in under a month we have got to around 400 for our launch in march.

The tips on this forum are great, really love the community!

Have not had much experience personally with marketing, more of a 1 on 1 sales guy, so this forum has been really helpful.

If anyone has any advice on building a b2c marketplace waitlist in the category of making money online, please let me know!

So far its been all organic through tiktok and reddit mostly.

(not sure how much info to give, dont want to break any rules.)

Thanks man,

We are a platform to trade nights to properties across the world. Buy discounted nights to properties resell them on our marketplace for profit, anything listed on our marketplace is auto listed on 3rd party booking platforms, e.g airbnb.

Messaging so far is pointed towards 18-30 year olds that have been told to invest in realestate their whole lives but dont have enough money and have been burnt on stock exchanges or crypto (things they dont understand).

Realestate makes sense to people, we give them a way to trade something that makes sense to them.

Welcome to the forum. Just don't promote your product or service on here, that's considered spamming. (Before you get accredited! ) BHW is where you come to discuss things you're doing with your peers.

It sounds like you could probably talk a bit about what you did in the social media sub-forum. As 400 on your waitlist is a good number!

I'm sure there are people that would appreciate your knowledge.

It was just commenting on mass on threads that were our target audience were looking at. Issue is some comments do very poorly. So you use up your comment karma quite fast, getting your messages hidden after a while.

They understand that you may not have been aware of this rule when you signed up, so they send you a warning.

The following activities on the forum are counted as spam:
  • Posting the same content more than once
  • Posting several times in a row instead of using the multi-quote feature
  • Making very short or unhelpful replies
  • Posting short "thanks" messages instead of using the react button
  • Posting "PM me for details" instead of providing information in the post

Best of luck with the startup, love seeing projects create new marketplaces for people to trade different assets. The financialization of everything thesis coming to play.
