Help! SSL Certificate!

Hello everyone,

I'm thinking of purchasing SSL certificate for my existing website. If I do purchase SSL certificate, will there any issue such as duplicate content, backlink juice and other things?

And what do you think of Namecheap Comodo Positive SSL, is it any good?

Just make sure to redirect your non-www to www if any duplicate content comes up or if your browser red flags your domain's SSL

Currently my website preferred version is non-www. So first of all, I should redirect non-www version to www version right?

Then I would redirect www to non www, because your SSL might be https://domain.com

My website www version is already redirected to non-www version. Do you mean https://www.domain.com version to be redirected to https://domain.com version

Then you should be good

Just test all URLs

Go to :
http://www
http://domain
https://www
https://domain

and redirect the 3 to the main one you want

There won't be any duplicate content because it is on the same domain.

However, there's a possibility that some images or stylesheets will go missing and destroy your site's layout. That happens when you don't redirect to https:// and visitors can still access the http:// version.

So your site must be redirected to https:// at all times to avoid this.

If you're not very familiar with that stuff, better hire a professional to do it for you.

Comodo Positive SSL is good, but only for small websites. For big companies, an OV SSL certificate is recommended.

Make sure to redirect from port 80 to 443 too (http to https).

I quit purchasing those and only use Cloudflare now.
