Help on unlocking disabled ios 7 device?

This is probably in the wrong place, on the wrong forum and knowing apple, impossible, but i have an old ipad with a load of content on that i am trying to get off, somewhere along the long i have disabled it so that i can no longer unlock it with a passcode and i have to use itunes to unlock it - i did this months back but didn't release that it basically bricks the device.

The only way of unlocking it is with restoring it back to factory setting through itunes, erasing all my data...something i don't want to do.

Does anyone know anyway of unlocking/backing up data without losing it?

I have tried multiple programs and they all seem to be scams or ask for password, i'm sure people who fix apple devices may be able to do so. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place and whatever, i don't know what to do.

Your content should be backed up into your iCloud account, and available for restore after wiping the device. If you've lost that password as well, bring the device to an Apple store, with the original receipt, and they should be able to help.
