    Hi,

i just purchased a website for it's domain name, I installed anew WordPress theme and plan on starting it from scratch, however I deleted all previous content and now I have something like 600+ 404 errors in GWT, what should I do with those? How do I get rid of the 404 errors?

    many thanks

The 404's will subside eventually once you start adding more content on the site. Its nothing to worry about.

For Wordpress there are many plugins to help redirecting non-existing (404) pages to some other place. I've used a plugin called '404 Redirected' - it monitors all 404 errors and let you redirect the non-existing URL to another URL or page with a single click.
