Help! Longterm IM money making!

First off, Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post.

Some background about me.
My name is Adam and I am a 20 year university student in Australia. I am going into my second year of University and I have a busy year ahead of me. I have been learning about IM for about 5 years and I never really gotten into it because I never thought I had the capability of making money online. Now, in about 16 months time is when I can finally get my full drivers license, so, due to a busy year of University, I don't have the time to work part time and buy myself a car. So with the information I know about IM, I thought this could really help me. Plus I could probably earn more than a part time job will get me. I am hoping to get at least $10,000.

I really think that with a lot of hard work, commitment and creativity, I can make the $10,000.
So, what I am asking for is some advice. What are the best ways to make this kind of money. I know this may seem a lot as it is my first post on BHW, but I know IM. So please link me to other threads and give me some ideas. That would be very appreciated!

If you know IM, why are you asking? 5 years and you've not tried anything? Surely by know you have the knowledge to build a website and earn from Amazon or adsense? Stop reading now and implement what you know.

If you really planned on working hard, you wouldn't be making threads like these.

You can achieve 10k by working at McDonald's.

Hello Adam, I am in the exact situation as yours. 20 year-old, college guy, 5-years internet marketing experience. I can understand your time limit and everything. If you are seeking for a long term internet marketing career, then I would suggest you to make a blog, and share your thoughts and ideas about internet marketing or whatever you enjoy doing (could be related to your university direction as well, which would help with your studies) and monetize that blog with adsense, or any other monetizing tool(search bhw for more). I wouldn't recommend going black with the blog, but you can surely try different blackhat methods in addition(you may need to search bhw for this too), while taking care of your long term site.

The year when you have a busy work schedule due to Uni, you decide to give it a go and try to reach $10000?

P.S Reading about IM for 5 years and not doing a single thing, means you know nothing about IM.
You only really learn when you take action. You might have some of the theory.
