[HELP] German web 2.0, can I post english content on it?

I recently got a great web2.0(an overblog) with good metrics
I didnt check them again but I think 10+ CF and TF
I loved it very much, but the property's language is german.
I want to link to my affiliate site. You know for SEO.
Can I write an article for my niche in english and post it there with a link?
Will it be effective?

Yes, the Germans also speak English. But ensure you also add some German articles too.

Spun and translated articles will be enough I presume for the german articles?
