I bought a US static residential proxy from Iproyal and use an anti-detect browser like adspower and go login but for some reason, my location on Facebook says I'm in Bangladesh. I've never been there and I don't know how to fix this. I tried restarting my browser and logging in from a different device but still the same sh*t. Is there a solution to this?

Are you using an anti detect browser? Check the location in the browser after you have loaded the proxy

Yes, I'm using adspower. I've tested my proxy on adspower and it shows my location as USA, but the moment I log into my Facebook account, it says my location my location is in Bangladesh

Have you tried again with another proxy?
No, I have 2 from Iproyal, one shows Bangladesh and the other shows I'm in turkey I think. Do you have a proxy provider u recommend?

this is quite confusing. if you buy proxy of any country then it will show IP of that country

The current problem is that the server is down, you should change to another proxy and test it before operating.

Maybe your proxy has failed, try replacing it with another proxy.

Recheck the proxy on IP verification tools to ensure correct location, clear cookies and time zone settings match the proxy. If still wrong, try using another 4G or residential proxy and create a new browser profile on Adspower/GoLogin. Contact proxy provider if issue is not resolved.

There are 2 cases: 1 is because your proxy is mistakenly purchased to another country, 2 is because the purchased account may have information leaked and someone else or the seller logged in to it on another proxy.
These are 2 cases I guess, I don't know if they are correct, you can refer to

Did you set up the Proxy on your anti detect browser profile? it should be configured to the profile first and you can also test it to confirm you are using US IP.

Not necessary. Facebook and other geolocation services can make mistakes and think IP is from somewhere else even when the providers hardware really is in the targeted country.

It is unlikely the fault of AdsPower and it is either proxy providers fault or it was Facebook who actually messed it up.

Here is an example of the output for one of my Iproyal US residential proxies:

And this is what Facebook said for same IP:
FB wrong about IP.png

Or a free service like iplocation.net:

As you can see, both MaxMind and Iplocation think this is an American IP and I am sure it is in fact assigned to a network adapter that is physically in the USA, it's just FB that performed wrong geolocation lookup.

If you want, I can check the IP geolocation data with MaxMind's Insights, you just need to DM me the IP of the proxies you want checked. Or just ask Iproyal support for replacement and hope the next one works out. Good luck.

This is exactly what I'm going through. Unfortunately I can't dm since I'm a new user, can I just paste my IP here or that's a bad idea?

Also, whenever Facebook assigns the wrong location, should I scrap the IP address entirely or there's another way?

you can reply to my DM

You don't need to abandon the IP unless you have other issues with it that are causing you business problems. Like hitting some action limits sooner than what you expected and you suspect it is due to problematic IP.
