Help! Bounce rate of 100%

Hello there,

Lately, I noticed a certain issue with a few of my articles in Google Analytics.

I have a couple of articles that have a bounce rate of 100%, but I can see that those same articles "they have traffic" because I get some click-events from Google Tag Manager, and clicks on SERP from Google Search console.

However, I'd like to point out that my Google Analytics seems to be tracking the bounce rate of other articles just fine that are (below 90 and 80%).

So knowing this, does this mean that I have a GA problem sometimes? or is it perhaps that the content of those articles isn't engaging or interesting enough to the readers?

What do you think can be the original of this problem guys?

It's normal to have close to 100% bounce rate on some pages. Generally, it happens because the users don't find what they're looking for or find a solution to their problem and leave. You should promote other related posts and recent posts to see if the users click on them. Sometimes interlinking also helps. But it's difficult to identify the problem unless you understand the user behavior.

Those are money pages, so that's why I'm trying to figure out the problem. Is it possible for a money page to be converting from time to time even if it has a 100% bounce rate?

Other than that, I'll add other useful resources and see if that improves the bounce rates.
 
The attention span of people is very small. They might get out if they do not like the look and appeal of the website.

Hmm, that's an interesting observation aswell, it can be many things.

If that's the issue, do you think providing the solution in the top of the article, that will make interact more with it (in form of a CTA)?
 
how bounce rate is calculated is retarded, if a visitor doent click another link of your site then it is considered 100% bounce, even if the person spent 2-3 minutes on the article
don't worry about it, a bounce rate of 95% is normal, and for pages with less traffic 100 is normal

That's what I'm beginning to think. I needed to hear it for myself!

By the way, those are blog articles "money-pages" with clear CTAs, "roundup reviews".

This is really weird, an observation made me notice something extremely odd, all my 100% bounce-rated pages have an avg session time of 00:00:00 despite the fact that there is a dozen of users sessions for each blog article.

Is this normal?
 
It will affect the site badly so you must fix this. I will suggest you changing the theme of the website. If it still does not work the text on the article might not be easy to read so you can change fonts.

As I happened to be working on a new light theme at moment to make this transition, so that's good to know! This will make me speed things up!

Supposedly the issue is coming from the fonts, wouldn't Google Search Console notify of that by sending a message like "Text size too small to read"?
 
It can happen on some sites from time to time as if users browse the site and enter some pages that they instantly see won't be valuable for them as they don't contain the information they seek, they will quickly leave those pages and as a result, you will have a high bounce rate. Maybe try to analyze the acquisition part and check their flow and behavior on the site, as here you could get an idea of how they moved to the site, and it will also help you to organize a better structure maybe so that they find easier what they are looking for.
 
Happened to me but using better themes and reducing ads helped me a lot.

Thanks, it seems like using some kind of tracking to monitor their behavior would help me narrow down where the problem is, as this reoccurring with multiple articles.
