Hello BHW fellows

Yesterday, when I posted a reply in my BHW thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/g...-portable-app-for-windows-opensource.1163705/ from Member Downloads section.

That topic has total 80 posts. And my last reply was on the top of 5th inner page.

Now today, when I visited Downloads Section, I shocked!
Right now,my topic is containing only 59 posts, and my last reply(of yesterday) is on 4th inner page of my topic :|
So in total 21 responses of my topic deleted with out any clue :(

Also my total BHW posts count right now(before posting this) is 1106, which I believed, short.

So I opened this Topic, just to confirm, whether BHW has some bug?
Or
may be BHW data backed up from an old date?

Anyone else facing this same strange issue?

Please confirm & help, because, I made my last post yesterday, after a vacation, So I don't know, if there were any important replies, which were deleted.

in the mean time, I am researching.. lets see, if I can find something from it.

Thanks in advance

It's happened occasionally to me as well but your case has more number.

You can use the search filter to enter your username & select yesterday's date to see which posts are still live. btw I haven't noticed any bugs with BHW lately.

Were your own posts removed or someone else's in your thread? When a member gets banned, his/her posts can get entirely removed without trace. That can be one explanation.

The Downloads section shouldn't effect your post count anyway, because posts don't count there.

Were your own posts removed or someone else's in your thread? .

Someone else posts.
Those might include my own posts too, I don't have any clue right now, because number of posts removed is big(21).

I am not aware of that kind of thing.
My another thread contains many posts, those are belongs to a Banned user. And they are been there for many months. You can verify yourself on page 1 of that thread.

Even in others thread, I often see posts belongs to Deleted BHW & Banned BHW users too.

But in this case, you are partially correct, I can remember, before today, there were few posts from Banned uses in my that thread.
But number of banned users should not be more than 3 or 4, so total number of posts belongs to those banned users should not cross 6 or 7. Otherwise, I should have noticed too many RED colors, its an eye catchy color.
But in this case, total 21 posts removed. So that is not a perfect explanation.

Thank you

Yea, that happens too. But mods often delete all posts of banned members. It depends on the posts and the reason of the ban/deletion. For instance a user can get banned for scamming, but his/her posts can still stay, because they add value. But it also happens, when a member posts spam, he/she gets banned and all of his/her posts get removed.

thanks for confirming,
Just asking, were those posts belongs to your service thread? or general thread?

Someone reported those posts and the mods verified it needs to be deleted no bugs

First of all, my thread was not a service thread.
Second, not a single or group of members had spammed my thread unnecessarily, because I read all 79 posts yesterday, so I am sure of it.
All posts were of either for appreciation or for reporting/questioning.

In case, you think, I spammed my own thread with fake user ids, I should have warned in BHW.
Neither any mods contacted me due to unusual activity in my thread.

Yes
I got your point. But as I said earlier, number of banned/deleted users posts should not be more than 6 or 7. Otherwise, I should have noticed.
So even if it was the case, number does not tally.

Thanks to my server Browser history, I got few Screenshots.
Screen-shot of my Thread(just before my last post) when it has 79 posts in total.

As you mentioned, you were on vacation and if you didn't monitor your thread, you can't possibly know what happened there. A member or two members can post a lot in a single thread in a short time frame. Discussion got heated, members get banned and/or their posts were removed. A spam bot targeted your thread randomly and the posts were removed. There can be many possible explanations. 20 posts is really nothing. If posts were removed, there's a reason to it and you are not supposed to reply to those posts anyway.

proxygo is right, ask a mod, who handles that section, if you're curious.

i could throw u a few of mine if it helps.

Yes why not :)
Whether people do admit or not, but it is true, people love appreciation & feedbacks; not just money & family :p

why not just pm a mod and ask
Thanks for the idea, I would definitely do that.
Because, right now, I am quite sure, BHW had not backed up from its old data.

As I already stated earier, I read all 79 posts on yesterday. I did not see anything unusual.
But,you are correct, only BHW staff can answer that

Thanks to my Server Browser "back page" button feature.
From its evidence, I came to conclusion, no others users posts were deleted from BHW "Download members" section.on today.

So, Why only my topics posts were deleted? should not be a public interest!

So I reported to close this Topic.
No further response should be necessary here.

Thank you all for your time
