It's actually in the electronics / home appliances niche. I have another in the aquariums niche which I let sit since October last year, and only started adding content and links recently. It ranks around 100 for main kws, but the former site doesn't rank at all. And I always stay clear of low quality links. Only own PBNs (really HQ), and links from another network of rebuilt real sites, apart from your usual high-DA sites that are available here in BHW for $6-15 a link. Mostly naked or brand anchors.
Look at how many links your competitors have and what type they got and make more than them. I personally just target low competition niches so I have no experience of building a PBN or buying any links - I don't need that with the low competition I am against. I cannot really answer if this is a good strategy. Is your site indexed yet?
Many electronic niches are pretty difficult in terms of competition. I have a few sites in it and they doesn't really make an significant amount of money yet - but I am currently building them out so we'll see if I can boost it. One have made me a few hundred so far while the others haven't made more than a few dollars yet.
Experiment and don't be scared of failure! Best of luck!
Hello,
Thank you for great post. I have question. I build site with Amazon products. Could you kindly tell me please what is your opinion about this site: beautysupply.io
The site is not finished yet because l need more time in my busy hectic life. Thank you in advance for your answers.
Regards.
It looks decent enough. Might be a little hard niche to rank in depending on your previous experiences. Promoting it via Pinterest might do really well, I have never tried pushing traffic with Pinterest actually so I am not quiet sure.
I would suggest you to not share your sites publicly as some people here might be your competitors. They might neg. SEO you, harvest your backlinks & keywords, etc.
I would personally switch theme to a more modern-looking one, it looks sort of outdated - for the best user experience, of course.
Best of luck!
Let say if the keywords that we want to rank for are "best electric guitar", "best acoustic electric guitar", "best electric guitar for beginner".
Do you create individual post targeting each of them or combine where possible?
For example: "best electric guitar" & "best electric guitar for beginner" can be combined under one same post. But for keyword like "best acoustic electric guitar" & "electric guitar", do you usually create individual post for them or just include in the same post targeting "best electric guitar"?
Personally, I wouldn't suggest doing more than 1-2 main keywords per article. I feel like if you added both "Best Electric Guitar 2015" and "for Beginners", "under $100", etc. the article would be too long.
It is better, in my opinion, to split them up and add related keywords in the article instead. "cheap electric guitars" in the 'under $100'-article for example. When I order my best of-articles I usually create a set of keywords (10-15) that I send to my writer - some are long tails or could be used as h3-tags. Such as, "What is an electric guitar?", "How to use an electric guitar?", etc.
The person reading the article want to find out which the best electric guitar is fast and might not be interested in finding the cheapest or one for beginners.
Best of luck!
Great posts, thanks for the updates, finding it very helpful.
It just reinforces that you need to take action.
Thanks for the feedback. I try to be as detailed as possible so that everyone will get something out of reading this journey. I want to show, step-by-step, how to build a profitable niche site. I don't know if I am going to succeed with my goal but I won't stop pushing until I reach it.
UPDATE
I've been offline for about 48 hours now. The internet at my dads completely shut down, so I am a bit off my schedule but I will be back in 24 hours - don't worry. I received all the articles that I ordered. Some of them does not follow the template I sent the writer so I need them to be re-done. Oh well.
I am soon getting my first check from Amazon (set the threshold to $1000), so I will have some more money to invest back in my sites after I receive it. I will also start link building this weekend, I will let you know how I do it, step-by-step, as usual. It won't really any mind blowing techniques shared but I will let you know how I do it.
Until next time,
