Will be an interesting follow. Running a project myself, so lets see how this all turns out.

You seem very clear headed. Wish you all the very based mate. Following your journey as I am myself going to begin with one. Just a question, how much are you earning right now from Red and Blue?

Awesome so far. Following.

Interesting stuff man! :)

Thanks for following guys! :)

RED have earned $12 so far and BLUE have earned none. Although, BLUE was started about 3-4 days ago, so I don't really expect anything for the first 1-2 months. I will start link building for RED soon - so I expect it to move up in SERPS in the near future which will lead to more traffic; and more sales.

Thanks for following! :)

One query man, have you experienced the 'Google Sandbox' while building any of these aff sites? I have a 1.5 months old site with around 25 pages of really HQ content. Yet it doesn't rank at all for any of its main or secondary kws. On the other hand, I'd ranked a 6 month old site last year with worse (but more) contents and it went up to fetch #1 rankings. Also, do you start building the links right away (that's what I'm doing with the site I've mentioned)?

How's the competition for that niche? I have built too few sites to actually have noticed that. I usually just put up a site, schedule some posts over a month then start link building - I don't really touch them before that so I haven't noticed any "sandbox" or whatever.

Be sure that you only build quality links and just don't spam it with low quality ones and you'll be fine. I usually start with pointing 50 web 2.0's with "click here", "read more", "find out more"-anchors, upload the best article on PDF sharing sites and a press release. I let these index and I will see the result after a few weeks - depending on where it lands, I know how much effort I need to put into link building. Always try to seek out all of your competitors links to see if you can grab them as well. :)

Best,
hekke

It's actually in the electronics / home appliances niche. I have another in the aquariums niche which I let sit since October last year, and only started adding content and links recently. It ranks around 100 for main kws, but the former site doesn't rank at all. And I always stay clear of low quality links. Only own PBNs (really HQ), and links from another network of rebuilt real sites, apart from your usual high-DA sites that are available here in BHW for $6-15 a link. Mostly naked or brand anchors.

Hello,
Thank you for great post. I have question. I build site with Amazon products. Could you kindly tell me please what is your opinion about this site: beautysupply.io
The site is not finished yet because l need more time in my busy hectic life. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Regards.

Let say if the keywords that we want to rank for are "best electric guitar", "best acoustic electric guitar", "best electric guitar for beginner".

Do you create individual post targeting each of them or combine where possible?

For example: "best electric guitar" & "best electric guitar for beginner" can be combined under one same post. But for keyword like "best acoustic electric guitar" & "electric guitar", do you usually create individual post for them or just include in the same post targeting "best electric guitar"?

Great posts, thanks for the updates, finding it very helpful.

It just reinforces that you need to take action.

Look at how many links your competitors have and what type they got and make more than them. I personally just target low competition niches so I have no experience of building a PBN or buying any links - I don't need that with the low competition I am against. I cannot really answer if this is a good strategy. Is your site indexed yet?

Many electronic niches are pretty difficult in terms of competition. I have a few sites in it and they doesn't really make an significant amount of money yet - but I am currently building them out so we'll see if I can boost it. One have made me a few hundred so far while the others haven't made more than a few dollars yet.

Experiment and don't be scared of failure! Best of luck!

It looks decent enough. Might be a little hard niche to rank in depending on your previous experiences. Promoting it via Pinterest might do really well, I have never tried pushing traffic with Pinterest actually so I am not quiet sure.

I would suggest you to not share your sites publicly as some people here might be your competitors. They might neg. SEO you, harvest your backlinks & keywords, etc.

I would personally switch theme to a more modern-looking one, it looks sort of outdated - for the best user experience, of course.

Best of luck!

Personally, I wouldn't suggest doing more than 1-2 main keywords per article. I feel like if you added both "Best Electric Guitar 2015" and "for Beginners", "under $100", etc. the article would be too long.

It is better, in my opinion, to split them up and add related keywords in the article instead. "cheap electric guitars" in the 'under $100'-article for example. When I order my best of-articles I usually create a set of keywords (10-15) that I send to my writer - some are long tails or could be used as h3-tags. Such as, "What is an electric guitar?", "How to use an electric guitar?", etc.

The person reading the article want to find out which the best electric guitar is fast and might not be interested in finding the cheapest or one for beginners.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the feedback. I try to be as detailed as possible so that everyone will get something out of reading this journey. I want to show, step-by-step, how to build a profitable niche site. I don't know if I am going to succeed with my goal but I won't stop pushing until I reach it.

UPDATE
I've been offline for about 48 hours now. The internet at my dads completely shut down, so I am a bit off my schedule but I will be back in 24 hours - don't worry. I received all the articles that I ordered. Some of them does not follow the template I sent the writer so I need them to be re-done. Oh well.

I am soon getting my first check from Amazon (set the threshold to $1000), so I will have some more money to invest back in my sites after I receive it. I will also start link building this weekend, I will let you know how I do it, step-by-step, as usual. It won't really any mind blowing techniques shared but I will let you know how I do it.

Until next time,
hekke

Oh, I totally forgot to update this journey yesterday. Here it is.

UPDATE
Yesterday I published 3 articles to this site. I had to get the rest 2 re-done once again. I know that this provider might seem like the worst one ever from my updates but his content is really good - they were just using the wrong template so I didn't want to use them.

I ordered 10 more articles for this site as well yesterday. So once I receive them, I will have 1-2 weeks of content to be scheduled. Will order even more articles once I receive these sets.

UPDATE
As well as the other site, I did have some formatting problems with the articles I received (5) so I asked for a revision on all of them and my content writer provides unlimited revisions - so there is no extra cost for these. I will start my link building campaign tomorrow so you should expect some more interesting updates, I will walk you through the services or techniques I am personally using.
__________

Before ending this small post, I would like to get your guys opinion about the updates. Do you want to see every step (daily or every other day updates) or do you want to see updates ONLY when I progress, hit a goal or doing something more interesting than filling the site? I make this journey for YOU and I want you to enjoy it the most. Maybe scrolling through posts with useless updates doesn't satisfy you at all or maybe it does as you can follow step-by-step. Please let me know what you prefer!

Until next time,
hekke
