that's not good. Sites that cover a lot of topics are not ranking like they used to because google wants now everyone to be expert in their field and you can't possibly be expert in many different topics, so your site will probably never rank for meaningful keywords (you might be able to get 10-20 visitors a year from some really obscure, unheard of keywords, but you can't make money off that kind of traffic).
It's honestly better to stick to one niche, because you'll build up topical relevancy for your site, and topical relevancy is extremely important nowadays.

You should choose a niche first, writing on various topics is worthless.
Focus one topic or niche at a time. You can promote your blog on Reddit and Facebook Groups.

Its good that you want to start a personal blog. Couple it with a relevant You Tube channel of yours and I assure you it will help you a lot.
Put some more efforts to create videos alongside the blog posts that you will write and upload in your channel. Then include those videos in your blog posts by embedding them in it. Google values pages which are enriched with text, images as well as videos. So it will benefit you.
Also the idea of videos and blog posts will help you build your personal brand and develop interested community around your persona.

That would be a general blog, right? For more exposure, I would suggest you stick with a niche, create quality content, and share it on social media.
