Our company received a nasty review and we are looking for suppression of a blog posted in 2010. The original poster emailed it out to our client base in 2012 and the blog went from page 10 to top spot. We are Canadian and the blog holds 1st place in Canada and 9th in the US. We paid a Reputation management company (one guess!). They accomplished NOTHING but they did raid our wallet successfully. Need some advice/help. No need to respond if you are another 'reputation' management firm. We've heard the stories about how if we continue to pay at the price of adopting a newborn in 6-8 months this will all be a bad memory!

Just because the person failed doing reputation management successful for you does not mean that another
reliable company would do the same for you. I mean the best way is to tackle the problem by hiring an expert in that field.

You can make 20 pages that say nice thinks abut your company and make SEO for them so it can out rank this bad review. Alternately find sits you like to rank for this keyword and help them ranked higher then this review.

You can create a review blog and try to bring that to first page. Or even try to increase the links which in second page. So, the link which is in first page may go down. Or try to bring any of your related facebook page to first page.

Hi - many sites were created but SEO is not working - used a well known Rep company but they seem baffled by the lack of progress in over a year

The Repcompamny created many pages; our own ie: website & & facebook &linked in have better traction and rank 2nd and 3rd ' sometimes even 1st for a day or two then the blog rocks back up to 1st

The simplest way that i can think of is create review yourself and rank them in high in google. And flag the negative review (not sure if this work)

This is a blog not really a review.....no desire of course from a Google driven site to censor free speech. The blog was not set up to receive replies. You can't flag it.

If I knew anything about that I would ... I'm a neophyte ..PM me

tried your Hotmail account - bounced back - got another email to reach you?

contact his host and tell them that the blogger is not allowed to use your company name under DMCA regulations.
he will get his service suspended if you bitch and moan about how you're gonna sue them and whatnot.

since the blog is from 2010 I'm guessing he'd rather have his website up than keep a bad review of a service he acquired in 2010...
