This was a test account I created to experiment with different marketing techniques.

I used an SMM panel for custom comments (a total of 4). Those comments appear to be removed.

My sole post (not reel) remains unaffected but the other reels on the profile also are like this now- showing view count as "--". They used to show a view count before this. I don't really care if it has as this is just a test, but curious if that's the case.

If that's what happened, it seems awfully easy to get another account banned by adding comments, likes etc. via an smm panel.

Go to the settings and search "account status". Instagram will show you if you account is shadow banned or not. There you will find which post has got you a violation and once you remove it, your account should be in good standing. Many agencies check this section since they have Reel farms.

I don't see account status in settings. However, I do see that the account has no community standard violations. (Settings... creator tools and controls..... monetization status... community standards). I don't see anything else that shows account status.

Have you ever tried with another sub-account to check the display ranking of those posts of the main account?

Sounds like Instagram might have flagged the account for unusual activity, which could explain the removed comments and hidden view counts. It’s pretty common with test accounts using SMM panels. Good idea to keep testing but just watch for any limits Instagram sets to avoid bigger restrictions. Thanks for sharing your experience!
