Got an idea for a book, think it has quite a large market in this day an age. Will be starting it this weekend.
Getting the Mrs in on the action too, we came up with a good rough story idea that can easlier end up into a series, also going to start with Children books before hitting up the actual story.

Aldoraine - I'm interested in getting in the review group as well. My book is being written, not yet published, what is the best way to get set up so I'm ready to join? Happy to start by writing reviews even though I don't have any books ready to sell.

Hello and thanks for this amazing thread. I have a question. Does anybody know why i can't find my book on amazon when i search for my book writing "the title of the book" on amazon search? Is it because the book is just published or have no ratings/reviews? What can be the reason for this?

Im surprise there isn't a forum for kindle/self publishing here yet! I started writing erotica a few weeks ago and selling on there. Obviously I havent made a lot yet but I'm impressed at how steady the sales are so far. Ive been trying to make money online for a decade (w/ many successes and many more failures) and I have to say this is the easiest and most surefire way to make an extra income, especially for someone who has limited technical skills. Its a lot of work so it helps if you do actually enjoy writing to degree.
And if there is anyone who does smashwords formatting for a cheap price please pm me!
ETA: Just to put it in perspective, Ive made over $80 in the past week and a half at this, which isn't a lot of money I know, but Im just getting started and my catalog is small -- generally the more books you have the more you tend to sell when you get a new one. I just slapped one up and then moved on the next -- I didn't pay for any promo, it promotes itself. So far my only investments have been for two covers on fiverr (the rest I made myself) and my domain name. Easiest income source Ive found in a long time.
