I'm planning to start a blog in the crypto niche and I have some questions.

Is it a good idea to go for this niche since I don't have enough budjet for link building?

I'm planning to rely solely on free traffic is that realistic in the long run?

If I do everything I can to optimize the website for SE (onsite, quality content ect.) can I rank for some good keywords?

I don't want to think about monetization at this stage, but it's clear that this niche has great potential.

I'm willing to put in a lot of effort on this venture, please give me any advice or guidance to help me along the road :-D

One of the best sources of free traffic is Twitter. I'm in the cryptocurrencies myself and I also have a blog and the traffic is really good( at least for me)

Why you do not want to think about monetisation for something you are going to pit effort and time into.

I don't see why you wouldn't rank well with the right SEO and good keywords, but it can prove difficult with that niche. However, In the long run, no, I don't believe it's realistic - you might have to implement other techniques in the future. But, for now, it might be just about enough. And I agree with the first comment - Twitter, and social media, in general, is a good way of obtaining traffic.

The problem with Crypto is, there are way too many blogs, sites, and what-else out there, trying all to rank for similar keywords.
Thats wyh I would try to push SM, mainly twitter and facebook as hard as possible. With facebook group you can gather a lot of people and lead them to your blog.

No such thing as free traffic. Spend your time wisely cultivating brand image, promos, etc.

really hard niche to compete, but if you do rank, the payouts are really good, so I say work hard and keep always learning

I heard the same sort of talk about the make money online niche. It’s a difficult niche but don’t let that stop you.

Are you willing to put in a year and not get anything back from it?

Are you willing to find low gaming keywords and build around them?

You willing to put in effort into social media to help your results?

Are you willing to be active on the top 10 forums and promote your blog there?

If that still sounds good to you then get to work.
